Just like people had to build and maintain every oil tanker that eventually failed as well as every nuclear plant that had a meltdown. But ur right good call. A few jobs is hardly worth it. How can a surfer care so little for the environment???

Hey y'all. I love the environment, puppies, and little kids as much as anyone, I reckon. However, we do need some form(s) of affordable, powerful, energy to keep this party going.

To those who sometimes seem to oppose nearly ALL efforts to give us that energy, what solution WOULD you support? Your answer oughta be something that's either available, or close to it... Not something that somebody made sound good, like vaporizing spider poop or something.

Please try to keep your emotions in check, and tell us something that is actually real and possible.

people rarely think beyond their hysterics. Electric cars is a rallying cry but those people fail to see the toxicity of the batteries involved and the need to generate power from somewhere (fission being the most logical). Fusion is the ONLY reasonable alternative but the hysterics will find something against that was well when at the same time riding their highly toxic surfboards and wearing toxic wetsuits.

I don't think it's useful to talk about this project in such broad terms, as it tends to shut down any discussion. The stated purpose of Port Ambrose is to import natural gas from the Caribbean to be used during the coldest days of the year. To many people this doesn't make sense, because fracking in Pennsylvania has greatly increased natural gas supplies in the northeast, making imported gas unnecessary. These people believe that the project's true intent is to export this U.S. produced natural gas (LNG strongly denies this). Creating the ability to export this gas would encourage the increased use of fracking in the Northeast and ultimately the creation of more gas export ports in the area, things many people have concerns about.

Jebus Fukin Christ Ontheragdadbrad you are a fukin tool. You post a tread, get pissy and repost in it 5 min after starting it casue no one has responded yet, then when a couple of guys like Pumpmaster do what you ask and then make a funny comment later you jump all over them? What the fuk is wrong with you?

You come in to our playground and act like you are some badass, you say you have surfed for 30+ years but post and talk like a 12 year old chick then you lash out a people who try and help you. You make comments that you are gonna get yours and paddle around folks and take peaks. I bet you are a fat ass lard butt who can't walk from the car to the break without getting winded.

Givin your name I assume you are a father but with the way you act on here you must surley be the worst dad on the planet. It is idiots like you that make me believe in forced sterilization to keep your fuked up genes from spreading to the next generation. DO us all a favor and have your fat ugly little woman chop your ballz off so you will not curse the world with anymore little moronic, cock suking brain dead f@ggots like yourself.

You are the biggest waste of cum I have seen in quite some time and know that eventually you will grow tired of this place and leave like all the other "flavor of the month" have. But until then just know that I wish you a miserable life and the slowest and most painful of deaths when it is your time.

    I
Wrong. Most of the gas being fracked in PA is being exported to Europe. Our government is trying to get Europe to be less dependent on Russian gas. There is a gas well less than a mile from my hunting cabin in north central PA so if think I haven't done my homework on this think again. There now hundreds of wells all over PA causing all kinds of environmental problems. I haven't seen a trout in our stream I over 2 years. The water table is being effected in ways we can only guess at right now. This isn't sh!t I'm reading online I'm seeing it with my own eyes. New York is seeing this happening in pa so they banned cracking. In PA it's too late. Guys like Rabbablab come on here crying about Port Ambrose. You should have been crying out 3 years ago. This sh!t is going to roll downhill.....

The price of gas went down the Northeast to compete with the dropping oil prices not because of gas surplus. By rolling downhill, I men that PEnnslyvania's water table effects both the Delaware bay and Chesepeak bay watersheds.

Yeah. Guys who own property where the well sites are located are making money. We don't own enough property for that. The gas companies will pay you monthly for right of way so the pipeline can go through your property but it is a small amount and not worth the possible damage.

Yep, my wife's grandmother up in PA has a lease with the gas co for reserves they found on her prop. Not sure how much the contract was for but every quarter her dad who runs the LLC for the Grandma gets about $8,000-10,000 for he and his wife's share. They then give each of their daughters $500-$800 as their cut. The grandmother has 4 children and does this for each of them so she gives away $35,000-$40,000 a year to her kids so that's $140,000+ she gives away so must be pretty lucrative.

Not saying you're wrong but you're wrong. Use of a Chesapeake Bay terminal to export Marcellus gas was approved in September, I don't think it's even begun yet. If you have a source that says otherwise, please share it.

Troll much, asspon? You have an opinion, woohoo, guess what YOUR OPINION IS NOT EVERYBODY ELSE'S OPINION. What an asswiping, self-righteous, jackass gas bag you are.

You bring nothing but arrogance, ergo, you bring nothing. You're the neighbor guy from hell, the total diiiick that everyone avoids because you can't stop flapping that idiotic gash below your nose that's been disconnected from your brain - - - lobotomies are a witch, eh sparky?

Just STFU & return to your basement apartment with your sticky keyboard, Sitting there in your tighty whities slobbering over anything that a made member of the SI Forum lays down. You're disgusting, you pompous lil piglet.

Surf's up, somewhere. But you wouldn't know about that would you douche canoe.

Ha Gonadbrad thinks I live in Honeyton and shot da pier! I'm not saying the cause was not just or that I don't support it. I said your approach was wrong. Come on SI to sell a board, act like an ass in that tread. Go invade other treads, act like an ass there. Start a tread about a good cause, act like an ass. The Gondabrad method.

PS tell your mom I have her panties from the last time she was here an left them on the celling fan.
