So, it's winter. Days are short (but, praise Alana Blanchard's ass, getting longer already). You're eyeballing the surf gear online, you're thinking about spring swells, you're thinking about summer good times on the beach, you're contemplating a surf trek or two, you're thinking about the year ahead 2015. All good stuff. Of course. Well, you're gonna need gear. We all need gear. We love gear. Old gear, classic gear, new gear, as long as it's surf gear, life is good with gear. What's your favorite source for gear? Could be CL or ebay or your local surf shop or an online resource / surf shop? My pick: Cleanline Surf Shop in Oregon. Superb client service, rapid return action if necessary, personalized yet professional & knowledgeable people who are surfers. Surfers who 'get it.' The big pic of client service & providing the correct product, that is. Case in point: I needed a 4/3 suite, wanted Patagonia. But, Patagonia is cut small, and I'm anything but that. Cleanline rep pointed out to me via email that O'Neill products are cut a bit bigger & are top quality. I went with O'Neill. Yankee very happy. Your pick for 'surf resource'...?
sorry yankee, but when i read alana blanchards ass i got pretty damn horny, looks like im gunna go wack it
"Boards are not material possessions, they are vehicles of spiritual transformation." -SJB/PJB Ahhh gear man, gear. One could never have enough...surf gear, hike/camp gear, knives, etc. I personally throw guns into this category also. I get off on gear, because the purchase of such is done in preparation for the most righteous of days. -eBodyboarding-for my sponges and fins, highly professional and the boards are well packed before delivery. I've also had great experience w/ dealing with Custom X/Cartel directly. -I like wetsuite warehouse. +1 on seshday...I need a back up SOG tomahawk, waiting for those to go back on sale.
-campmor(sp?) too -sierra mountain trading post has increased their wetsuite selection as well *and of course local shops WW/NSS for booties/gloves/wax/skate stuff
Got nothing interesting for surf gear, I just go to local shops. BUT as far as music/bass gear goes, sweetwater.com is absolutely amazing. I'm drawing a blank on the title but they basically assign you an expert so when your looking at new amps, cabs, basses, pedals, recording gear, mics, anything, they will help you pick out the gear that suits your style/budget. Really knowledgeable guys and gals over there. Amazing support. They literally have everything you could need as a musician. And the best part is they always pack candy in there boxes when you buy something. Then your sales tech or whatever they call them will send you an email asking how you like the new gear. If your having any issues they still help you out. Same sales tech guy every time. Even though it's a website there more helpful/knowledgeable/personable then any store you can walk in
