    I've been messing around with electronics for years, mostly audio stuff for guitars. Beginning of this cold water season, I started making 9v battery powered warming inserts for myself. I'm going to be giving them a shot this coming swell. Wish me luck! If they work, I'll be one happy New England surfer. So sick of being frozen.

    Or just buy 7 mil xcel mittens, my hands get so warm I have to let cold water in.

    Nice one, Tard. I have some 7 mil bombs, they do ok. I tend to stay in for way too long, I think that's where my issue is. Between working outside and surfing, my hands and feet are shot. Raynauds phenom is my best guess.

    I just clamp a few leads straight to my nipples. Works a charm

    No cords....it's a simple very low voltage system, if water hits the battery, the only thing that would happen is that I wasted a perfectly good battery. If it works....I'm not telling.

    I made a silicone housing for the battery smart a**. If i didn't get wet, I wouldn't be crying about it in the first place.
