So one time I stepped on a big ole wolf spider in NC. When I smashed it, a hundred babies scattered off its back. It was crazy.

iv had a few bad times with spider eggs.they look like little balls and u try to wipe em away with a paper towel and a thousand little babies come out.little bugs scare me more than the big ones, when u have microscopic things crawling in ur ears and nose,it gets scary lol

Down In pr about a month ago was staying up in the forest above rincon. There were these HUGE spiders that layed flat on the wall and moved faster than any bug I've ever seen. Tried smashing them with a flash light and a book and they wouldn't die. I'm not normally scared of bugs but these scared the sh*t outta me. Took a full can of raid to kill one!?!?

^^Are you talking about the huge yellow & black ones with the zigzaggy pattern in their webs? If so, they're in NC too.

Black widows like to get inside the lid of my propane tank in the fall, I have to get them out of there before I get it filled up.

At least they stay outside though. Unlike the friggin' giant cockroaches (aka palmetto bugs). Those fukkin things get up on the ceiling, then fall down onto me when I'm sleeping, talk about a rude awakening. You turn on the porch light on a summer night and there's a bunch of them waiting to get in. It's like Joe's Apartment, only with 2 inch long cockroaches.

I used to live in maui and there were these huge f'ing cane spiders. I lived in this sh!thole with busted windows in my bedroom, but whatever, it was like 80's in the day & cool at night so I didn't really care. The way they harvest sugar cane is by burning the fields which drives out all of the cane spiders. The wind blew the smoke into my busted window one night & I woke up hacking. I laid there & tried to get back to sleep, but I noticed what appeared to be those glow in the dark ceiling stars on my ceiling. But I never remembered seeing them before so I was kind of focusing on them and realized they seemed to be moving, then realized they were on my walls. I flicked on my lamp & holy SH!T! The room was covered in cane spiders & I was seeing their iridescent little eyes! I got out of the room & grabbed a broom and tried sweeping them out of the house. My roommate's cat helped. Needless to say, sleep was sparse that night.

Used to work in the Southwest, we'd get these huge Tarantulas during the summer monsoon season...along with a bunch of other bugs. We'd have to carry big cans of that "deep woods Off" bug repellant, so I'd hose down the spiders and then flick a lit match on 'em...it was hilarious to watch them run in circles trying to put themselves out. I guess I have a little bit of a sadist streak in me sometimes.

Those Vinegaroons scare the sh!t out of me. They don't run away when you try to squash them, they just turn around and hiss at you. Yikes.

I'm not scared of them, I just do not like them. I got stung/bit by a brown recluse one time, yeah, that sucked.

    don't go to australia.
they have one - the funnel-web - that jumps at your face from meters away and you
never see it coming. then it rips your face off w/poison venom and you croak right there.
