went to cabo 4 years ago on my honeymoon. there are plenty of all inclusive options as well as good surf. cabo surf hotel has a pretty good break right out front (mainly a right though) but tons of options up and down the coast

 

i would go straight to uluwatu if i was you...

 

Yea, I totally agree with the Tard- you really should start a hello thread to introduce yourself. It's kinda a right or passage. That way we would alreay know that you shred 10ft on the sup... But what we don't know is if you ever charged the Belmar.

So- I will share a little- my wife and I went to Hawaii for our anniversary. It was great- stayed on the south shore at the ilikai - price was just right. Nice safe quite place- and there is a few great surf breaks right out front! She could hang on the beach at the Hilton (or just stay at the Hilton)- while you surf ala moana (sp?). Or just get up early and slip out front to catch a few before she wakes! Plus there is so much to do as a couple during the day.

Teahupoo. It's in Tahiti, so you can't go wrong. Nice, long, mellow lefthanders with 10 foot faces. SUP'ers rule this spot.

If you think leaving your new Wife on a beach while you surf during your honeymoon is a good idea then you better start looking for a good divorce lawyer. I went to Kauai on my honeymoon. My wife went to UNCW and loves the beach but does not surf. I surfed once the whole week we were there for about an hour. She sat on the beach and watched. She said she was cool with it but I could tell she felt "left out" so I did not go out again. It was June and only waist high so no big loss but after almost 15 years of marriage I can tell you do not plan your honeymoon around a surf spot unless your wife surfs too.

Think about it, this is your start to your life with the woman you love. She will recognize that you care more about where to go to get waves than spending your honeymoon with her and before you know it she will be banging your friends, brother or dad.

 

Agree with the south shore of Oahu. I've never been there in June but I know they always have surf. As far as vibe is concerned that is entirely up to you. Show respect and you will get respect. Be an asshole and you will be treated accordingly. I've been going to Oahu for the past 5 winters and have had zero problems so not trying to scare you but you need to show manners just like anywhere else.

What rcarter said, so you have to be sneaky, like find a place with a 5 star resort/spa/horseback riding plus proximity to world class shopping, culture and nightlife. Bairritz, Tamarindo, Nantucket, the 'Bu, Belmar, they all fit the bill.

Dude, like Blasters said, for both waves and non-surfer activities, you should consider Long Island - Fire Island, in particular. If you want more warmth you could go to Key West. If you're looking for the cosmopolitan vibe, however, take your fiance to San Francisco.

But if he surfs, just take him to Hawaii.

um i would go to haynes furniture or a value city furniture store. they usually have great couches you can surf there. probably right in your price range as well.
