What a coincidence..I too am leaving this flat coastline for CA on the 28th....only difference is that I'm moving back home ...it's been 20yrs out here in NJ and I'm done!!! Can't wait to actually be able to surf again on a regular basis. BTW forget the islands..too much localism...Cali is the play! Good luck in praying for waves...Wavetucker out!
still here!! I'm beginning to feel like Kevin Costner in the movie Dances With Wolves.............I"m holding down the fort all alone. All I can say is, when I sell my house, I'm Outta Here!!!! I've lived on the East Coast my whole life but no more, I'm tired of having to take a trip to get real waves. There better be room for one more on the Rock or somebody's getting thrown off!!
yea i was just looking at the business college after i red the top 10 surf schools thing on surfline it looks pretty sick not sure if it could ever happen but i can dream cant i.. localism docent sound cool though...
Good luck to anyone moving permanently to Hawaii. There are no jobs, everything is ridiculously expensive, and the meth problem is ridiculous. But damn the waves are good. I was taking a guided tour through a maui forest with my wife when we came across two meth heads who were hanging and drying a ton of weed! Me and this guy from cali were the last 2 in the group and were the only ones who saw them and noticed what they were doing. We went over to check them out and they told us "we could take as much weed as we wanted!!!!!" I didn't know the guy, but we talked it over for a minute and decided it wasn't a good idea to take the sticky icky back with us on the tour van, haha. I guess you could say some of the locals were really generous to a couple of haoles.
