I find it funny when people try to hype boards they're selling by writing "This board absolutely rips" or something similar to that effect. Most buyers immediately think "if it's so great, why's he selling?". Not denying it rips, but you need to give a reason.

I'm actually in the market for a board and want to give Roberts a shot...however, I'm going for a Hydroflex because the area I surf is gnarly. If the rocks at the reefs don't get it, it gets smashed on the beach break sandbar (or me)...I seem to get a ding practically every sesh. This place eats poly for breakfast.

The board does rip. I just had a custom Roberts Black Punt shaped from the shaper...and it rips too.

Hydroflex is just lighter material, it's still just as vulnerable to rocks, reefs and breaking in half. I think you may be thinking of the Tufflite material. That stuff is real hard to damage.

true, tuflite is really tough...but it's also really stiff. I hate that sh!t, actually.

Hydroflex uses epoxy resin. It's gotta be stronger than poly...and, even if it was the same, their proprietary technique makes for a more ding resistant/less delaminating board.

Its 5'10 x 18 3/4" x 2 1/4"....It doesn't feel like a thin board at 2 1/4" tho since the rails are a tad fuller. The board paddles and catches waves well. Hides volume in a shorter and wider package.
