Hawk, not sure of your age so you may not be able to appreciate this. Just classic punk for your listening pleasure
Whoa. flashbacks. haha. I remember sitting around listen to Bl. Flag with some dudes who were into metal. After a few speechless moments one of the dudes in all seriousness says, "That dude is either the best guitarist or the worst guitarist I've ever heard, I'm not sure". We all cracked up.
I'm more into classic rock. love that stuff. this is similar to what i listen to though. this is pretty much rock except faster and louder. I like it. I'm in high school btw
Jello Biafra was at GWARBQ this year. He got shoved in a meat grinder, and also gave a wonderful speech.
Bought the Vinyl @ the Slip it In Tour directly from Kira. Henry Rollins Kicked me in the head during a Chicken Fight in the mosh pit. Good Times... "Know one knows like I know that the less a girl knows the better she's likely to be." Henry Rollins
Awesome, you can tell the grand kids about that one some day. "How come when I ask the girls all the boys answer? Are some of you boys girls? If that's true this is one strange town."
Once a year, in Richmond, VA, GWAR holds a whole day event full of metal bands and BBQ. It is a crazy party, and GWAR always plays at the end of the day. http://gwarbq.com/
Yes Old Black Flag ****ing rules !!!!! This new version is not the same as the Black Flag of our youths . Ive been stoked that Mike V was singing for Black Flag but its still not the same. Keith Morris's new band OFF is a pretty close rebirth of the old black flag
Yeah....OLD Black Flag was amazing. I remember when they started playing songs like Slip it In, it seemed like they were drifting towards a metal sound with slower tempos, 4 minute songs instead of 1:45, Greg Ginn was bored with slamming out the punk barre chords, and Dez Cadena and Chuck Dukowski left Black Flag and took part of their sound with them. This is how I will always remember Flag...low fi sound, "We're ****ing pissed off" lyrics:
Can anyone explain this punk rock fascination surfers have. Did ..Lost and Volcom make you guys all punk? I have an old friend from California who is all aboot punk. It's his life. He'd say all the punk bands y'all like are nothing but ***s. Like, "not real punk." No where on this planet will you hear aboot Black Flag as much as this place. Is this the last thing the "outlaw" surfer is clinging to? This, "yeah I listen to Black Flag, I'm edgy and anti-establishment" thing. Go buy a Led Zeppelin album you ***s.
