Forgot to share with you guys the finished product. I changed up the original design of the fan blowing in from the side. I used a cpu fan at the the bottom. I could have done a better job of closing up the small gap between the fan and the pvc, but I just used some duct tape. the fan is nice and quiet and they are completely dry in no time. NO stink!! Whole thing cost me about $10.00
Haha shark tank. I forgot all about that one. But in all seriousness... and what I really wanna do is get myself a 3D printer. Custom fins for everybody, I wouldn't even care. I think it'd be worth it. Saw some crap get printed at BnH last time I was there.. It's freakin sweet!
Those 3d printers are crazy. I think the first thing I had ever seen produced by one was the little hand gun. Put me down for a set of thruster fins. Maybe future style WCT's, thank you, sir!
3d printing tech has a long way to go before the materials are flexy and strong enough to make decent fins. Sure you can make any shape you want but the quality is junk. This diy dryer looks like the one I got 5 yrs ago at harbor freight, which cost $25 and still works good. I'm assuming yours has a higher velocity fan or something?
Just a plain cpu fan. I Wish it was a little stronger, but it work fine, It just takes a little longer to dry. I did see a diy and they used a hair dryer. One used it with heat and one showed you how to disconnect the heating element. This idea seemed easier.
Dry Guy: http://www.amazon.com/DryGuy-Wide-Body-Boot-Glove-Dryer/dp/B0000AMK8R But yours is way cheaper.
good work but i always hang mine out to dry fine....but with a thicker like 5mm boots and **** they do take longer to dry...
I've seen that one. Yeah, mine was cheaper. Ha I also used to just hang mine, but two days later in the tips of the fingers and near the toes, it was still damp. This takes care of that.
That's the one I use, it works like a charm. Nice work on yours though, that's a legit and useful build for $10.
