"The AccuWeather Network debuted Tuesday on FiOS, promising "all weather, all the time" coverage packaged with local weather and severe weather alerts but "without reality-TV fluff," according to a statement from the State College, Pa.-based media company. Verizon is the launch partner, but AccuWeather plans to pitch it to other pay-TV companies."

"Without reality-TV fluff!" and "all weather, all the time"

Everything old is new again. I welcome it, missing the old TWC.

    Thoughts on the change?

accuweather is junk and the weather channel owns weather underground. id say stick to the national weather service.

Furthermore, the Weather Channel is owned by NBC, I believe. Sticking to NWS and NBDC is, as you state, the best avenue. I have the bouys closest to me "bookmarked" for easy retrieval and quick view. I can get a clear idea what to expect about 75% of the time. Good enough for me.

I like the content idea - real without the fluff, for almost everything, weather included.

I haven't watched ESPN in ages. I miss the old Sportscenter. They didn't have 10 minute sections on lebrons 7 year old kids tweets and johnny manziels hair stylist talking about his parties.

    PBS. Its the last bastion.
