There has been a lot of talk about the nubster... I think it has a 50/50 foil since it is a center fin, so I was wondering... Has anyone tried riding the nubsters as a pair of quad trailers??? I have a custom board Being shaped and should be here soon. I got my fins in the mail yesterday (AM2-5fin set and two nubsters) I want to play around with as many fin variations as I can. So I thought of trying the thruster set up on my five fin with two nubster quad trailers... Anyone try this? I have not found any thing on it so far.
tried in on and off....loosens up the board but my quads all have rear boxes near the rail with toe-in. Using vertical 50/50 foiled fins in that kind of cluster never made sense to me. Instead of nubster type rears, i like small fins that are canted and single foiled.
Sounds like you are super excited 'bout your fresh schtick. Just remember that if you feel like you are ripping then you are (my definition of stoke). All of those crazy fins and fin combos are just surf masturbation and complication of something wonderfully simple, don't think about too much you might blow a gasket.
Lol yeah GARB I hear you man. Things have progressed soo much. All my boards have a thruster set up so I decided to but into a little of the hype and get a board to experient with all the set ups. It's not what you ride but how you ride in the end. I'm pumped to get a barrel no matter what I'm riding. The fin tech has gotten pretty crazy. When I bought these fins I was taken back a bit by all of the "ride charts" and different rakes and everything they meant and could do. I'm sure in the end my board will be a thruster 80% of the time.
