Climbed Gunks, JTree, Chickie's, Allamuchy, Stover, Flat Irons , Eleven Mile Canyon, Lumpy Ridge. . . Even a few Cascade peaks. Broke seven ribs, tore my Achilles . . I don't like heights . . . But I like climbing. Now in Rhode Island, still trying to locate the rocks in Snakes Den and Lincoln Woods. All trad. Got rid of all my gear, just have shoes and harness left.

I also got to help with an FA which you can see here http://neice.com/newiceclimbs/ its called nose bleed, M6 WI6

Maybe i can get around to getting some more pics later if you like these. This is just what i had easily available. As you can see i like ice a lot, but i like trad and bouldering too.

NICE man. That second gully looks the funniest.

I put up a few ice FA's in Vermont when I moved up there. The Commitment Slide is on Mtn Proj. I soloed it by accident. I was only going to get up to the real vert stuff past the NEI-1 stuff, and I figured I would just test the ice and come back with my lady the next day. From the ground I thought there was an easy walk off on each side. There was not. Sometimes the fastest way down is up, so I kept going. Chose a very challenging shroom to top out on, blindly wrapped my tool around a few saplings (insert innuendo here), made it up and kissed the ground. http://www.mountainproject.com/v/the-commitment-slide/108010779

    Where do you climb?

Also, I have a few FA's under my belt.

In the Adirondacks one can now look up in the new Lawyer-Haas guidebook a 5.2 and 5.6 I put up called Terd Ferguson Can Suck It and Zero Gravity Bella, both at the Mineville Slab. Lakeside and buggy.

I developed the Saguache formations in the northern San Luis Valley, the largest collection of VB and V0s in the universe.

I climbed the Aquarium Dome with 2' of snow on it in Chapel Pond Pass (Adirondacks NY) for a first winter ascent, triggering two avalanches (one on the way up, one on the way down). I started at the base of a 5.7, beat the snow away and tooled the crack (innuendo please) to a ledge, traversed, and went up what I believe was is a 5.5 in summer...?

I have a short little FA in RMNP that is oddly enough roadside. Saw an open book, pulled up, and ran up it. Did someone climb it once... maybe. But there wasn't a chalk mark or footprint around. It was in the lowland comparatively speaking too. I asked some local dudes about that spot because it was at a junction in the roads, and they said they hadn't heard of anyone climbing it... as in, why would you?!? Admittedly going to RMNP and climbing that was like going to Amsterdam to watch porn.

I have a few boulder problems I put up in the Yukon (like anybody is going to climb them) at the base of a rock slide en route to Alaska. Big boys too.

I tried getting up to the Brooks Range in Alaska but ended up getting a flat tire and having to turn around... in a forest fire. My logic was to get past the tree line, and if the state caught fire I would be forced to spend a month in arctic Alaska while they put the flames out.

I have an FA highball boulder problem at Arches, which may or may not have been illegal.

Lastly, I tried desperately to put up a newbie in Zion. My ex wife and I drove around for the full day looking at lines. We found a dome, checked the registry, and sure enough there wasn't a line on it. It would've been an easy 5.5ish climb up 80' to a lil mini dome. We drove back... guarded ferverously by goats. They were not backing down. And I am screaming at them like they should care. And asians took photos.

Good work man, i mostly climb around northern nh. For a tiny state there's a lot to climb of all grades. There's catherdral, white horse, cannon, rumney, for ice Crawford notch, Franconia notch, Washington and a lot more. Half the fun is the unexpected sh*t and poopin your pants just a little bit.

That dome is sweet Uncle. I just got back from the gym and did a fun V4+ and a few 5.11's on top rope. Wish it wasn't 1+ hours to the nearest peak from here but there are a few fun boulder problems within about 20 min of my house. I'll try and get some pics next time I hit them up.

The 2nd and 4th pics are both shoestring gully on my Webster. 4th pic is an optional finish, I nice rock chimney to dry tool or free with gloves. 2nd pic is one of the lower cruxes. Its s pretty cruiser gully. Usually i just rope up for the rock pitch. Lots of fun and highly recommended. Nice alpine feel too.

Ice, my fav spots in NH are Parasol Gully and Flume Cascade, not Flume Gorge. Flume Cascade is the first of two falls on your left if traveling south into Franconia Notch from up north. Its a 600' waterfall but its really just ledges and flats. What I love about it is that one can bring their dog(s) who can follow on the trail to the right of the cascade. I don't know of any other hour long 100+foot ice climb you can take your dogs on!

I'll try and dig up some more pics tonight or next week. I'm off to RI out of desperation for some surf. Little bump on the forecast that I hope pays off. Might try and swing by cape cod on Sunday. Think forecast there is a little better the ri tomorrow. Wish me luck finding some waves.

Here are a couple better pics of nose bleed i pulled off my phone.

The attached thumb nail is the top of pinnacle buttress on washington in late fall. Its places like that that make me love alpine climbing so much.

I am not a climber, but my wife and I do hike the White Mountains in NH when we can, usually only in summer and fall. There are some trails where a bit of being on all four limbs is required, but it is not climbing per se. Great exercise.
