Hey Chris, how is that this whack-a-doodle troll ^^ is allowed to insult, flame, instigate members & yet you delete my posts?

Just curious as to what the working parameters on this site are. It would be helpful if you eliminated all the guesswork & let us all know what the deal is. In fact, I think it's something that we deserve to know.

Nobody is asking anyone to be a snitch, we get tons of emails with complaints. He wanted to know so I simply stated that is how others are reporting it. We prefer zero reports, the end.

I do not disagree, makes managing the trash throughout many threads here much easier. We all want waves and when it is flat...well we all know the drill.

You are stirring the pot, I could have simply given infractions without warning but instead did not.

The rules are:
- No Inappropriate Language
- No Making offensive/insulting comments
- No spamming
- No Threatening other members
- No sexually explicit material
- No discussion regarding engaging of illegal activities
- No Hijacking thread topic (unrelated tangent).
- No Trolling (creating a stir for no reason)

We ask you to please abstain from breaking these rules, and if any of the these rules are broken, then an infraction (warning) point may be applied by a forum moderator. A forum member is banned from the forum after 3 infraction points, and infraction points are released after 10 days.

Certain situations, with the subjectivity of the moderator(s), may warrant increased infraction points and/or a longer duration of banning. And, repeat or highly inappropriate posts may warrant a permanent ban of the user and the user's IP address from using the forum.

In the past, I've emailed you guys as to why certain things are allowed & certain other things (like banning me) are not allowed. So, I appreciate the effort at transparency.

Agree w DSUP: it's not cool to write in & complain/snitch about other posters - - that's always been 'the unwritten rule' of SI Forum, IMHO. Sounds like you guys in the enforcement division get a ton of pissy lil emails complaining about other posters, though, and that's too bad.

I always take the position that this place enforces itself. For the most part. To wit, the treads with the gnome (roy stuart) and waynetheinsaaane. However, I get it: there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed & when people do, the boom is lowered.
