Beautiful board man...and I'd love to give one a whirl. Gimme a heads up next time you're down in Rhody, definitely down to get up and sesh. Also, didn't realize you were a lobsterman too. I miss those days. But hit me here or the other channel and we'll make it happen.
Charlie, you're getting good at that. Got to respect the level of workmanship in that piece right there. How's it rip?
Oooo hi Chuck !! That fish looks sick. White Sea ape highly approves of the object. Thanks for getting back to me regarding the olo sheesh
Hey WCDK sorry it took so long for me to get back to you on this... I've had a 5star and a few McDermotts.... Here is the feedback: Sashi at 5star will make you a board in 2-3 weeks. You can pay check or cash. He actually beat his own lead time--I told him I had a trip coming up and he got it done. The board was everything he said it would be and more, and he will send you pictures halfway through for spank material. The board was great, but the volume was off for me. It just didn't work for me, but the quality and service was spot on. The McDermott brothers are an awesome experience. They are the Bad News Bears of surfboard production. Andy will write down your specs/details and then call you because he can't decipher his own notes--------BUT if you want he will let you in the bay while he shapes it and you can discuss it then and there, make minor tangible tweaks, etc. Ive done that twice I think. Ryan is getting amazing with colors these days, and the glassing is fort knox. Getting them to coordinate lead times can be frustrating, but I've always been ecstatic with anything that they've done for me and the former Mrs. Two Barrels. They are really making good boards, and they will make anything you want no matter how ridiculous it sounds. If you want a board by a certain date, go to Sashi. If you want to be a part of the transformation, go to Andy and Ryan.
