Or let people who are disturbed running around without medication or therapy?

Those aren't mental health advocates.

Nowadays our jails and prisons provide "shelter" for our mentally ill.

 

ooooo yeah - they found a place to go....hum it.....unda da boardwalk they were.....

 

Oh, ok. This is an area where I don't know as much as perhaps I should... The best approach regarding predators like wolves, polar bears, sharks, etc. I think they are all magnificent beings, yet don't want to meet one in the alley behind my cottage whilst taking out the trash.

I've never hunted, but have lots of friends that do. Hunters generally seem to be more involved in preserving the natural world than others are.

Well... Reckon I'll play it safe and hunt me some acurns, Riley.

I really ain't into the huntin deal, so I'll hush up there.

I did get the front yard mulched for the landlady though. Free mulch from the Island's Eco Center. Saves water, looks nice, manages weeds without Roundup, etc. Did my little part to make the Earth nicer, and will get a break on next month's rent too.

they didn't like that people could be forcibly committed and held so they got those rules relaxed and of course the people walked out of treatment.

 

Ok, but many Psycho Wards, or whatever the proper term is, were also closed due to funding cuts.

They still can involuntarily commit these days. It's just more difficult, sort of....

Really, man, it's sad. Some of these in jail are completely non-functioning and don't even understand what is going on.

Ha, I bunked next to one such feller. Smelled fantastic. If you guys have never been to jail I highly suggest you give it a try

Get your license suspended and then drive up to a police and flip them the bird......

Don't flee. That's a felony.

Some states you might have to do this twice or thrice before you see a 30-day sentence to your county lock-up.

Really, you guys will love it. What's the big deal? Especially if you live in a sissy state like Virginia or North Carolina. No Ambrose Harris's in Virginia..

Well, I am still say that they cut funding not because of the lesser amount of Involuntary Commitments, but because that's what those types tend to do.
