so I haven't surfed in about 2 weeks due to flat spells in the dirty myrtle, I get my first chance today 1-2ft maybe but rideable. put my suite on go out catch two lefts sitting there eyeing up a third, I swore I saw a fin cruising around earlier but now some creature is running its body along the length of my foot. sit for a sec then paddle battle to the shore line. Im the only one out there and want to surf but cant get back in the water, would you stay or would you leave?

You hadn't surfed in two weeks. Easy answer - stay. Plus, that was just some snorkler punkin you with a fin headband.

i sat and watched the water for probably 20min but the way my day was going the "snorkeler" would have bit my foot while the "mermaid" tried to rape me. I'll get my redemption session in tomorrow morning before work. hopefully the mermaid/snorkeler is gone

Watch out for those dolphins. They will take you to a rape cave and violate your bung hole.

I got bit by a crab and left but it was starting to rain anyway and parking meter was up...so I am wondering if crabs and sharks are uniting to try and take back their waters... Hmm

Yeah first time getting hit by something in the water. Couple times before this one a shark was going nuts with a school of fish, but there were probably 15 people in the water. They stayed, I stayed. Today im the only meal out there, if you were in the same situation would you stay or go?

Would never leave, maybe go down the beach some or put all hands and feet on deck for a few in an attempt to convince myself he / she is gone, but never leave.

It's a freaky thing man. Especially when surfing alone...your mind will play tricks. I was surfing last year and it was really fun chest high long rights with a bit of current/wind. I am amping on catching my next wave with no one around. I look over 5-10 feet from me and it was what looked like a shark coming up mouth first out of the water like it was checking me out...real slow then went under. I would guess it was maybe a 5 footer (head was the size of a soccer ball). I paddled straight to the sand bar....then to the beach, there was a trough between the break and the beach and I was a bit rattled going across.

It was so fun, I walked up the beach and paddled back out. The way I see it, they are always there...I just don't want to see them~!

yea they r there mostyl disinterested but you never know..few years ago i was trying to convince my daughter it was safe and ok to go in knee deep water, there was some kook tourist tossing a rod out a few yards away..i didnt even think about him caching anything where he was casting in 2-3 ft of depth..we were messing around on the bodyboards and he reels in a baby shark, tiny thing... but..she just looks at me and runs to shore

You only get one set of legs....go get laid or something else. Save them legs for another nice day, no matter how long it has been since you surfed.

Surf 1 - 2 feet and something actually rubbed against your leg, yeah, I'm out! Like Barry said, another day.
