Sunday was Funday here on the island. Thursday has potential to be yet another spring swell happenin'!!! Lucky us!
i do agree with brew as far as the shallow breaks...somethings seemed to have changed since last year thats for sure i dont mind them on the bodyboard i can roll up onto the sand but if i was on a hard board id be wary for sure in some areas tide wise...
Not flat here, but a lot of big wind-blown churn and current. Haven't surfed much during April. Here's hoping for a better May.
lol na I was referring to radabrad about the surfed out thing?maybe its just me,but sometimes like today, seeing all these pics of mexico makes me feel like a real puzzy.I get scared around 8 ft,and the shorebreak there is like double overhead.and when reading about someone who paddled for 45 minutes through the harbor, paddled for 3 hours caught one wave, wiped out, took 10 on the head, and was barely to walk up the beach afterwards, thats what I call "surfed out" or something like that.thats from the msw post btw. but yea im not complaining about the wave quality,a day of closeouts is better than a flat day anytime.it makes good practice getting ur arse kicked. but yea my original post was basically like how do u get surfed out or exhausted by surfing 3 footers all day for 1 day.the office workers, yea I can see that, but most regular folk that do hard manual labor, going in the water is like an Epsom salt bath after a hard days work
Bro, I'm not being a ***** so in all seriousness. Up the intensity of your wave count, surf harder and take everything out of the ocean it has to offer during your sesh and you too will feel surfed out
Surfed out is relative guys. The office guy may be surfed out after a 2 hour sesh. The contractor may be surfed out after banging nails (or Hindus) all day then surfing an after work sesh til dark. The grom will be surfed out after surfing stomach high glassy beach breaks for 9 hours. Embrace the stoke in all forms. Brad, I paddled all day Sunday and my wave count was so so...I was surfed out but my wave count got my tank about 1/2 full. Cep, I have not surfed Mainland Mex but have surfed some waves that will humble you. Sometimes the solid stuff offers only a few good waves for a lot of work...I hear you on that but Epson salt sessions after work is more of a...well like an Epson salt bath cause you are all ready "worked out". Sometimes you only have time for a few b/c of responsibilities. I hate having to leave not surfed out!
Here in this ocean we do not surf to be weak. Surf first, surf hard no mercy sir! Cobra Kai for life brah!
And you three wonder why I call you Kooks???? DANGAT!!!! Yo blaster your video had me chucklin for a while , funny man. My point is try harder, get more waves and use ever sesh as an opportunity to improve, but still have fun. I will never ride my kids like that unless they ask for my help to improve or become pro. Good Luck splashin around out there hahahaha.
