so we've all discussed places that are consistent, fun, warm, firing, etc. But where do you all think is one of the best surfing towns on the EC or WC regarding how many times you'll surf a day, weather, the beach scene, locals, skateboarding included. I read surfer magazines feature and it listed San Diego as one of the tops but i was surprised to find a town up the parkway from me Ocean city, NJ made the list.

in general, the "better" a surf town is, the more crowded, expensive and competitive it is...in all aspects (surf lineup, jobs, real estate, etc). Only a dumbass is going to advertise their home spots...and only an a-hole or business is going to advertise good spots they've visited.

Travel, find a good spot, move there and stfu.

Pretty much anywhere in Hawaii works.

Trying to make the finances work is the hard part.

My buddy grew up on Oahu and says in the 40 years he has been surfing there, the longest flat spell was two weeks.

As others have mentioned: THE BELMAR

We should really do a vote to which town wins: BELMAR, San Diego, Haleiwa, rehoboth seems to be the most popular...

    So then...it doesn't work?

Or you could get youserlf some trust fund parents and live la vida loca.

    NoCalSpicoli, it's time.

    F Belmar

Theres dudes in Munchen that surf the river in the English garden in winter, youtube it, they can complain about the quality of hometown surf, you can't.
