im lookin at buying a firewire but dont know if their worth the price.. i was just wondering anyone has an opinion on them. i wasnt sure if their durable and ride well for the price.. any info would help thanks!

thats actually good prices i see them in shops for around $800 now i just would like to know how they ride and if they are durable and worth it
i have a 5'10 flexfire direct drive and i loke it alot. It is much stronger than other pu boards that i have. i have dropped it and hit it on things and still no dents/dings where a PU board would have. i did snap my first firewire in half last fall but i think the board was a dud. they seem to have all of their problems worked out now. Mine came with a board bag and future black sticks fins which are sick
i bought a firewire not to long ago and is so sick, they are so light and cut through the water like a hot knife through butter. They are so durable too, on saturday I fell on an air and i landed in the water, surfaced and the deck of the board slammed me in the head, i have a bumb on my head but my firewire is the same as it was before, i also have a problem where i slam my knee on the deck when im crouching to get into a tube and the thing will not pressure ding. Best board for 600 dollars ever, very woth the price. email a store in the outer banks called outer banks boarding company. Check out Firewire Surfboards. You kinda get the best of both worlds with a stringerless EPS blank thats vacuum bagged in a epoxy shell and that has parabolic balsa rails. Besides being super durable the flex is amazing. What sold me was the guy at the shop flipped upside down, stepped on it and pressed it to the floor.Try that with a poly and you'll have broken or flex cracked board. I bought a 6'6" tri but they have a full line of shapes. I gave mine a good workout in Nicaragua and the spring and snaps out of turns was amazing. I have plenty of poly boards and love them but I think the Firewires are making the best new technology style boards. Good luck!
Just a quick footnote, mine did come with the day bag and a set of the top of the line epoxy FCS fins though I read on the website that they were going to discontinue including a set of fins. I would check out Heritage in Margate, NJ they have a ton of them.
