There are actually a $hit ton of pings right along the canyon and what they call the fingers off of OCMD/DE. The canyon edge hold baitfish and so do the tops of the fingers. Not saying thats def why they are there, but those are two places tuna fishing is good.

When they get as big as Mary Lee, they don't eat fish anymore.
Strictly marine mammals, and occasional terrestrial mammals who like to go in the water.

    I hate ocearch.

    It's ruining surfing.

I'd rather not know about where the sharks are.

Look at the pics from Holyoke....seals on the beach, someone paddling out in the backround......

She's in the Bight now......look at the water temps......up 10 degrees since a couple days ago.....she following all the other life heading north with the temps......

Zero....is that canyon the chicken canyon?.....off your area?........off LBI we have the Mud Hole and Razor Wreck(sp).....2 classic spots for sharks and tuna

    Hey Whosthat, you in LBI?

Well LBI is in South Jersey, partner, so if you are LBI-area folk change your LOCATION to SOUTH JERSEY.

There is no central Jersey - you are either south or north

Jeez, how many times do I have to go over this?

The Jersey Mason Dixon line runs from Trenton to Barnegat Light. Anything north is north. Anything south is south.

    Ok, carry on.

This beotch has got me shook.

Ocearch is cool but so evil. Such a mind game going on here. Mary Lee is only one shark and here i am thinking about planning my surf based on here location. I mean come on..(i tell myself), how many hundreds of other sharks are out there all day everyday.

Mind games i tells ya....typical beotch!

I think its a great website. Great White's are amazing. Id rather know shes around to learn from the weather/ocean conditions.....had many encounters in NJ during the analog years when none of this was available....

Riley.....didn't mean to push your button.....but now that I did:
there is no surf in North NJ....north of Sandy Hook, where the ski resorts are,....
Central NJ has the Pine Barrens...........
South NJ is below the AC Expressway........

Nahh, you Jersey geographical lines of demarcation are severely skewed.

Ax Mr. Sniffer - THE LBI REGION SWELLINFO MEMBER - he'll tell you LBI is in South Jersey.

Dude, the Pine Barrens is synonymous with South Jersey.

South of The AC Expressway ?

So much South Jersey exists north of the parkway. I doubt anyone in North Jersey is claiming Smithville or Tuckerton.

There is no central Jersey. This whole thing that North Jersey exists above the beaches is just wrong.

The extreme NW part of the state doesn't really exist. Does it?

Trenton to Barnegat Light, Whosthat. That's the line. Learn it. Love it. Live it.

Ahhhh...Now I get it....You have to forgive my Geographic over education....I used to be a cartographer before GPS existed. The region you don't recognize was my stomping grounds as a hunter/fisher back in the 70/80's.

Ok, well, how's aboot this: Who covers the news in Trenton and LBI? Right, the Philly news media. And Philly is connected to South Jersey. New York don't cover mundane, regular news stories from Trenton or LBI. But friggin Channel 6 Action News sure does with Rick Williams and Monica Malpass.

Being a cartoon artist doesn't mean you make the invisible lines that separate one another. You just map sh!t, you don't create the borders between North and South. Again, there is no "Central."

God we have the same problems as California. We are even shaped similarly. Uncanny.

By the way, Rick Williams has one my BEST AFRICAN AMERICAN of the YEAR award for the past ten years. No, not the Miami Dolphin pot head. He's an on-air news talent.

You lost me.....this was about how close Mary Lee was to some of my favorite spots to surf.
However you decide to map NJ is all you, if you want to go by media coverage/ reporters/tv stations,...great.
I map the state by different standards. We all have the same governor.
I will be surfing between Jenks and IBSP tomorrow if you want to surf, talk NJ B/S, and dodge Mary Lee...

That was the PC response to your requests....

This is the non-PC response, aka "Jersey" response:

    North of the Parkway???
Get a map, go back to school (pay attention this time),and shut the hell up you little punk.
I'm a little too old to taking crap from anyone.
