Nahh, malibusquan is a big ol' jetty that attracts Central Jersey surfers like early morning dope corners attract dudes looking for testers.

Even when it sucks, they still flock.

Sharthuffer, like most Rhode Islanders, is afraid of New Jersey. Well, they assimilate ok in places like Bay Head and other Tony or Toney places, as long as they keep their interaction with the savages minimal. Jersey's not as quaint as Rhode Island. Rhode Island still has that Summer of 42 feel to it. New Jersey lost that loving feeling in 1922.

yeah New Jersey, not Cullyfornia created THE BEACH SCENE......Never forget that.

    And that happened where?

Right, in SOUTH JERSEY. Nobody went to Long Branch, man.

Hey aren't we approaching the 100 year anniversary of the summer of the shark in Jersey, when that renegade coasted up the coast from the Engleside Inn attacking white people. He attacked inland in rivers too ! He didn't care !!!

    Does history really repeat itself?

I second this. Belmar was not epic, but really fun. However, what was epic was the talent on the beach. Dear lord it was like a Beiber concert out there.

I was watching Belmar on the Surfline cam earlier today, and I couldn't believe all the splittails on the beach. Figured they were having a Reef booty contest or sumthin.

The size wasn't really there, but it was still fun until the wind started ripping from the south in the afternoon.

Wrong call. HA Paddled out about 8:15 and didn't get out until 1:00. Really nice in the morn, the wind seemed like it changed and it got a little weird later, but over all, really fun day!! I took a sick day and I do not regret it! And the crowd wasn't too bad

Yes sir!!! DE sucked so I drove a little further to OCMD. Very happy I took a sick day and the 3/2, no gloves, no boots and no hood was great!!! I even contemplated using a spring suite

Surfed from 8-2 with a lunch break to change spots. This is what you missed. was it ridable and occasionally fun? yeah, but it wasn't all that. It did get better as the tide came in and it kept me stoked for 5 hours so I guess it must have been ok. These pics from late morning as the incoming tide started to do its thing.

Second picture was taken right there while waiting for my buddy to show up. I agree there were a few bigger waves coming through now and then.
