I see your mistake, Your mom told you it was moans and squirts when it was actually screams and vomiting. Your mom is a liar. and that is her good trait.
And I see your dad's mistake. He should have pulled out and sprayed you all over your mom's face like I do. Then the world would not have to put up with stupid ideas.
I remember reading that a sanded finish was the fastest because the texture held a thin layer of water. I guess water on water is as slick as it gets?
Secret Spot used to do a rough coat on the bottom of their boards. Had a special name for it and everything. Called it a speed coat. Theoretically it was supposed to trap water and be more fluid. I bought them because I got the bud price.
Dudes- I use to use car wax on the bottom- shines it up nice and serisously felt faster. I forgot all about it until this thread, I'm gonna go now and wax the bottom of my boards- like the summer pros do
Ha! That happened because I replied without looking where the thread was going. Nothing better than posting a reply to the op on a 10 page thread.
The coil board guy also has a process where he has a golf ball type bottom to keep the water trapped. Similar to the 3D fins. I use elmers glue on my rails (for grip) and spit on the bottom of my boards (to keep it lubed).
I own one and it's my favorite board. It's actually called "kick technology" and it's the entire board with the exception of the fin box, not just the bottom. The top being textured helps out with grip and waxing is easy. It's not really golf ball dimples though. Here's a few pics, maybe you can see more closely what it looks like...
very cool. That boards looks super fun. Thanks for posting the pics. Can you feel a difference compared to your other boards? I think the coils are eps right? maybe that helps too?
I actually lightly sanded the bottom of one of my boards and It definitely feels like its got real squirty speed feel to it. use 200 grit sandpaper and sand nose to tail. just don't over do it.
