Recently came across this colaboration... LINK I've read lots of reviews of losts haveing shi**y glass jobs, but not much negative on the shapes. Conversely, lib-tech having shi**y shapes but good tech. Anyone have any experience with a lib tech as far as performance, glassing, etc? Any good? I find it interesting that the online retailers who carry lost have the libtech losts for $689, but poly for $750. Plus the whole eco friendly and mostly made in the USA is a plus as well.
link didn't work for me but I saw what you are talking about... http://www.lostsurfboards.net/ I like Lost boards and think they market themselves incredibly well. I hate how they lost my custom order... Any surfer will shart themselves at 0:54 - 1:20
Oh, why are you doing this to me? That's a good price for a lost shape in libtech, indestructable. I always wanted to ride a libtech. Does anyone have a review on ridding a libtech and how that material feels (flex, too light)? Be curious how it would ride in chop too.
Get in touch with Island Surf and Sail on lbi and ask for Adam. He works there and all he rides is the Lib Tech's. He recently just got one of the lost boards so I'm sure if you called up the shop he'd be happy to give some feedback on it. I trust his opinion too, I've surfed with him many times and he is def a local ripper
if they're so indestructible, I can't imagine someone not allowing you to ride theirs...any shop carrying libs should have a demo lying around
I didnt exactly like the side cuts to the tail... but pulled the trigger anyway. I'm not patient enough to wait. Will post a ride report when I ride it.
I like cutaways better than the original non-cutaway version...they make the tail not so extremely wide. I also like that the tail is a little more squared off on the lib version. What size did you get?...did you get free shipping?
where did you get that info? AFAIK, Burton doesn't own Lib Tech. Burton owns just about every other company in the world, but Lib isn't one of them.
i have ridden most lib tech boards . Out of there selection i like the vert the most so far . The rest of them i had them under my feet for a section or two , but no sparks . As for the lost lib tech i have not ridden one yet , but the shop has just got a shipment in and i will take one of those out soon , hopefully by this weekend . But for durability , they do hold out good , i kite surf more on the lib vert than i do surfing . Great all around board , it goes everywhere with me , and not one crack , ding or pressure crack . But i also seen them in half . its not a HSSB by no means , When its firing and i want confidence under my feet i go to the rookie , proton , M4 , speed demon . If your near lib . Island surf and sail does demo there used ones out , bring your favorite fins and try one out . You might like them or you might hate them . hope this helps
