It always amazes me to see all the people with zero experience choosing the biggest day in a while to try and paddle out. Yet on a one to two foot day they are no where to be seen. Today wasn't epic in Monmouth County but it had plenty of juice. Complete lack of respect for the ocean's power.

Amen brother. I remember Arthur last year and it was the same way. 8ft+ and the kooks come out.

Oh Man I remember as a beginner looking at the forecast and if it wasn't epic there was no reason for me to drive 15 minutes to the beach and get in everyones way! $hit!!! I wish I had any of those days back. Never owned or rode a soft top though .

Was a lot of traffic today shortboards fun boards tons of boogies quite a good bit of teens on surfboards even some real small kids being taught by their parents at anytime u had a shortboarder coming at u from the left throng of boogsters lil kid just standing up another losing their board up in air paddling out and that was just where the waves were breaking once you caught one and starting coming in it was dodge city one ride I went left to avoid one couple hugging in water back to the right to avoid 3 kids left again to miss another
