The past couple days at folly have been in the waist to stomach high range and bigger sets with the period being around 7-9 seconds, which is way bigger than the forecast. Ive noticed that there is a little pulse of longer period swell next week coming from the south east again. Any chance of the same size around monday or tuesday? The forecast is showing ankle high.
there is some medium period SE swell out there right now. The forecast for saturday for Folly is 2.3 ft @ 9secs. This SE background will be on the fade for next week.
Yeah i just thought the forecast was a little underrated but hey i guess its keeping the lineups less crowded because it hasnt been too bad considering the quality of waves over the past 3 or 4 days. Thanks again Swellinfo!!
well, 2.3ft @ 9 seconds can definitely produce waist to stomach high waves at good spots on the right tides. So, it sounds like you are learning to read the data, and this will help you create your own predictions for your local spots.
