Are inlets normally better after it rains?

YES! especially in areas such as California, during and after a storm are the best times to be in the water.

    The waves wont ride themselves.

Why do you post such topics? Either you are 10 years old or you have no common sense. The best surf after it rains is inside the inlet. Its best though on west ground swells. Next time it rains you should hit it up!

1st off- My buddy scored a 20ft west ground swell in Kansas.
2nd off- the rain has no effect other then on the texture of the water's surface. please refain from such childish thoughts

...AKA the texture of the water's surface
ie. making it from choppy to "smooth" and glassy
It seems that everytime it rains, the winds calm down too (besides hurricanes). That would contribute the the glassy surface
