I caught 4 baby sand sharks this weekend,3 on Friday,1 last night.between id say about 30 miles of open beach, tried to move down the coast Saturday since Friday it was only sharks biting and we were going for stripers.it felt really good to unhook them and throw them back and see them swim away.

As Peta says, "Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way."

    imho:
no fishing for stripers allowed, no fishing is allowed at all, hooks are bad they hurt the fish, no surfing, boating, swimming, kayaking is allowed because they disrupt the marine eco-system, no one is allowed within 2 miles of the sea, as birds, and insects can not live in a totally natural setting if a human presence is detected.

also u r not allowed in the woods, and cities should get smaller, actually why don't all u people just die so i can kill plants and eat them in peace.

    signed
ur leader idgaf about humans or idgafah

Ps after u r all dead im going to live on the beach in the summer, and in the woods in the winter...maybe have a barbecue...

Yes, it didn't seem like the shark was going right after him initially. Perhaps getting caught on his leash or something.

The video footage is not visible after the shark wacked him in the face. I think that is when Mick punched the shark... Mick got in a fight with a big ass shark and came out unscathed! Next level stuff right there.

aw, man...missed it. Went to bed right after slater/bourez heat. I did enjoy seeing otton almost get smashed on the rocks and dantas losing his board into the rocks...almost as entertaining as their heats. Props also to wilson's epic air in the dantas heat.

just saw the attack vid...INTENSE!!! Fanning kicked the shark in the face a couple times: badass!

WSL is considering new marketing strategies to capitalize off this morning's event. They are partnering with Outerknown. Current rolls will be starting out at $49.95, made out of baby alpaca. Each square will be labelled "Wipe Lightning"

    HAHA! that was funny.

aside from all the macro details people are failing to see the bigger picture.

Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the
    way
    it ought to
    be.

Julian's post heat/attack interview on land was something special--heard during the pre-final interlude that Mick was in some sense taking Julian under his wing while on tour...a lot of emotion in that video. Pretty cool stuff...

Exactly my suspicion--why surf a board colored in a fashion which attracts predators?

**** was insane watching it live, thought Mick was a goner for sure. Complete respect for Mick and Julian, was reading in stab that they were talking about removing that contest. No Bueno right there, lets hope that isn't true.

It was odd that Slater insinuated himself into the interview process.

And what was Slater doing hugging up on Mick? Parko is a longtime deep & loyal friend of Mick's and we didn't see Parko doing the media whore thing like Slater did. Was very noticeable that Slater went to hug up on Wilson & Wilson's body language said no way in hell you phony spotlight seeking fakir.

Slater did roids in the 90's & early 2000's; he's the A-Fraud & Lance Armstrong of his sport. Great surfer, just as A-Fraud & Armstrong were great athletes, but dirrrrty as hell: no athlete gets better as they get older, no one no way no how.
