There's lions on the african sahara? Dessert lions? lol I think you mean Savannah. There's lions and leopards across the continent near villages and towns. They've been know to come into towns and eat people. Look at the statistics. It's not just the national park areas and wilderness areas that lions roam(where it's illegal to hunt). Animals don't say dumb **** because they're too stupid to communicate with complex language.
I just saw on the news he has been pretty much run out of town, his dental practice closed, he is in hiding. Karma is a *****. LMAO
Fungus, we both know the debate is NOT over whether it was legal. It was about killing a lion. Period. Legal or not legal. The guy is a total idiot if he shot it illegally especially after paying all that money. The guides are total idiots and could lose their business as well.
Just ridiculous. Over a lion. Someone might do something violent to him as well. People nowadays are just crazy.
Wow, a whole 20,000. Compared to over 7 billion of us. Here's what it boils down to: lions are an endangered species, we are the species that does the endangering.
^^Yes, I'm a sponger. I'm in NC, but south of the OBX. The waves occasionally barrell, or I think they did. It's been so long since we've had good surf I can barely remember.
That lion was beloved and protected and lured outside the refuge to die a slow death. The same guy did the same thing to a protected black bear a few years ago in Washington state. Many hunters and conservationists and anglers and Native Americans subscribe to wildlife management. Kill only what you need, don't hunt the reproducing females during rutting or hatching season, etc, and above all, pay respect to the animal for sustenance. Otherwise, tag and release, or take a photo. To kill for sport is cowardly and wrong. Karma bro.
Nah, that's too quick a death, how about cut him and drop him in a school of piranhas? Or tie him to a tree and cover him in blood and let a pack of hyenas have at him!
LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!! Many thanks Seen, I needed that laughing spew of my beer! I was literally reading this tread & thinking, I wonder if that lil troll shart snoofer is still sporting his balaclava....the one where his fruity lips are protruding like that grotesque freak Buffalo Bill in 'Silence of the Lambs' ....
Yeah you and your butt buddy seldom just can't handle that I made a video that's a million times more funny and interesting than anything you've posted EVER. Got to love the HORRIFIC personal attack by seldom just because I disagree with his highness about some stupid lion and don't think the hunter should be executed. The crazy meter on here is really off the charts. Anyway, it was fun surfer dudes, but I'm dissapearing again. All the best.
See I think the opposite. I think the money was the motivation to make it illegal. Rich dentist pays 55k and wants results. The guide under pressure to deliver does the unthinkable and baits the lion out of protected land. I would give the dentist the benefit of doubt but his past actions say not to.
I read a short story in college about a trophy hunter that would capture trophy hunters and hunt them, because nothing else was exciting anymore. only 50k? those africans not only ruined a majestic creature, but they got hustled in the process. #facepalmer
50k is actually really high for most places there, do your research. Price lists for game animals are posted on every guides site, its how they do business. They buy the permits from the gov't for the animal then tack their fee on the end. You want an elephant its no more than 40k, sadly a giraffe is no more than 6k. Luckily poachers are dealt with by heavy hands out there, they don't slap hands, they hunt. Those guides will not make it on this earth for long. The meat of all the animals they kill does go to the villagers and not a scrap goes to waste, ever. Its a different life for those people over there and they do not have easy lives so get off the high 'Merican horses. I'm not a hunter anymore but deal with them a lot. There's a ton of practices I don't agree with, like baiting, and anyone that uses a crossbow that isn't handicapped. That's not bow hunting, it's a gun that shoots arrows. Its the nature of the beast, there's good people and bad in all walks. Whether this guy or his guides are to blame everyone has lost this time. Do you really think the US banning ivory imports will change anything? The rest of the world still wants it and doesn't care in the slightest what this country does or thinks. Its sad, there's no doubt but its the undeniable truth.
^ I agree with almost everything you say, however; regardless of the going rate of these hunts, people in Doc Palmers tier spend 50k like its chump change. Regardless of what I believe personally I do know that fukked up chit will continue to happen, why not get every penny you can from it? Sure they may get some meat from it, but whats the saying... oh yeah, its black and white... give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime. these people dont need to rely on some fuk head american ego to kill a lion for them, they can hunt their own meals. I hate when trophy hunting is justified by "oh i gave the meat to a village." Are they having trouble eating? Yeah? well teach them how to get food. Dont keep enabling poor judgement. Someone who is hungry and knows how to hunt isn't going to risk their lives for a lion (unless its a dire situation), they will go after what is plentiful and simple, both of which lions arent. The high merican horse is exactly what happend there. Someone underpaid a poor sap to lure and kill an attraction that generates revenue year in year out, only to give a few hundred pounds of meat to a village. This fuk head could spend his money and experience sharing the necessity of hunting.
