I'm with you on that - I'd be down to throw some $ down during a long flat spell but wouldn't go for anything that expensive. So much of surfing is getting to know the ocean / being part of nature / knowing your surf spot(s) for every different swell - you lose out on that with something artificial.
ha! im glad somebody said this. just the other day i paddled out...and while waiting through a lull i kicked off the board and floated on my back next to it. vacantly looking at the sky above me, listening to the muffled sound in my ears. water, i thought... air... surfing has very little to do with catching waves.. but being here, like this? well.... maybe thats why i was brought here, to enjoy such moments and also to catch myself enjoying them
not sure if anybody asked this yet but if you buy a certain amount of shares do you still have to buy a membership????
I'll tell ya what's a better idea..the PB& bananer sand witch I made this morning. I'm so friggin thirsty and the chillers water ain't cold.
not sure how many people making over 500k surf regularly. The ones that do, most likely live where they can surf everyday already. WHy join a club? I'm sure their polo shirts aren't that cool
