Kind of wondered the same thing. I lived closer, I'd offer $200, he would take it. Well, they don't surf, so they prod were just tossin the board around

The more boards Frosty buys, the less surf we get.

I would probably take a section out of the middle. Will require more cutting/glassing but then you can really get the shape you are looking for. I think Zeroevol is right, you might want a little more width up front than that nose shape has to offer.

They make pads for top of boards nowadays if that news hasn't reached up to jersey yet... if yo candy azz needs a soft place to lay
I'm far from busting airs and flips and 360s and all that jazz I'm sure that's what u need flex for...
Course if u spent more time in ocean than dancing poolside you might know

I just wonder what you do with all these boards. I own 2, a bodyboard and a 9' longboard. They're both collecting dust in my garage, 'cause neither one seems to be just the right thing for riding 18" shorebreak.

Well in reality the threades name is new board in its contents it is explained that it is a paipo board which is ridden quite differently from today's bodyboard a I would imagine and the things that can be done with it are different so its apples to orange I'd say
Don't believe I ever asked for advice on bodyboarding in this thread
Not sore
and your actually fulfilling the stereotypes of northerners also considering how great and better you are at
everything
Sure I've seen nj waves you guys do have good breaks up there I'll give you that
But that is a win win so now you can stay up there and not come down here

In small surf, traditional wooden paipo is a cross between bodysurfing and bodyboarding. Because the buoyancy is low, you have to sort of swim them around, even more than an alaia, which struggles to catch waves cause you're paddling only, without fins. It's only when the surf get's bigger and/or more hollow that the wood paipo comes alive. A fast, hollow, 4-5' glassy day would be perfect, but at that point, who wants to go prone... Still, they get you in the water, and are a good way to make little junky days in the summer fun.
