Been lusting for a Coil board for a while now. Just placed an order for a 6' 0" qualifier. With the Fall fronts just around the corner...I am so amped to get out on that thing.

Nice. Fall is indeed coming soon. But your board will be here late Winter, Early Spring. Enjoy....??

he could be right, though...the more tech in a board, the longer it usually takes to make. He could get lucky if there aren't a lot of orders piled up before his...but that's doubtful. My hydroflex didn't get to me until four months after ordering.

If the order was just placed, then he'll have it mid Winter most likely

Recently got my 6'1 Coil Blur. Wait was just about 7 weeks, though told 6 weeks or less. Went on forum faith and ordered the blur as my high performance "good wave" board. Had a few pulses with some head high sets last 2 months and never felt so glued to a wave before. Rail foils are incredible and I've never seen a thinner tail, cuts and bites so good, and the construction is seriously overwhelming. Try not to think about the board cause the wait feels like eternity... but it's worth it, you'll be stoked.

Draw a pentangle on the floor, stand on it, and chant, "I summons thee" 3 times in rapid succession.
    I will be right there.....

Nah. He says 6 weeks. Everyone that I know who went through Mike had a wait of 8 weeks max.

Thanks for the good cheer though!

All depends on how many others are ahead of you and if he decides to take a vacation or something along the way. I too went through Mike. I believe I ordered in Dec. and had my board by early April (a couple years ago). Just sayin. But it is TOTALLY (TOTES) worth the wait. I would wait a year if I had to, I love my board that much.

This is the feedback that made me order one. Never heard anything but good stuff. If it takes more than the 6 weeks to get done...I do have other boards.

That's the spirit! Are you getting one with kick technology or is he doing something different these days?

"Smooth finish tech" is replacing kick as of this year. Not really sure what the difference is.

Kick is dimpled like a golfball, so i guess no dimples with the smooth finish.

Seems like a lot of people are going to be happy that they are going back to non-dimpled grid-like style of boards.

I'd imagine those dimples were a b!tch to repair at home. Dimpled bases are faster in snow, but maybe not in water (?).

I've got 3 coils, all ordered through mike. All were done and shipped in about 7-10 weeks. Great boards.
