i saw that post by Ryan, who gives a **** about posting ****ty on-shore slop? Good on him for being out there in the elements.
I work with some of the best photographers in the world on a professional level and see what it takes. Photography is an art that doesn't come over night especially for young peeps. Your always buying new gear and never get paid enough for images.

I understand that he may have "deals" with some of the local pros, but he has no right to tell people what to do with their pictures. and on top of that, while a sponsor might get a "free" pic from an amateur photog, and a guy like Mack and the surfer don't get paid on that single picture.... I guarantee you that every single "New Jersey Pro" will benefit from exposure (and they are the ones doing the actual work). They may not get a check for that one run of the pic, but their sponsors on all levels will appreciate the picture, potential sponsors appreciate the picture, and the surfer in the end will benefit.

And that doesn't even consider the up and coming surfers (and photogs) that are trying to make a name for themselves. Those guys would do anything to get their pics, or pics of themselves, on a website or magazine.

I don't know Ryan, so I won't judge him as a person. But his comment makes him look like a Grade A entitled a&&hole.... Talking like he's Peter King at pipeline when JJF is coming down the line....

If you live in ocean or monmouth county; scratch that. If your area code is 732 and you have a camera please don't take photos of surfers. Ryan is trying to make a living and has nothing else to fall back on. He does not understand what a free market means and I fear without illogical regulation he may devote his life to crime.
