I don't know if private schools would perform any better if they have to except all the kids. When a kid doesn't do well or misbehaves at a private school they are forced to leave. Also when mom and dad are shelling out 10,000 for first grade you better believe there is parental involvement.

Curious, how many of you older farts (myself included) who attended public schools were offered foreign languages and algebra in elementary school?
I predate the computer age so that was not even an option.

Cep. I was a lot like you a high school age. I found girls. Mary Jane and surfing and could have cared less about anything else. Could have easly continued to be a straight A student with a little effort. Paid for that later in life. lol

Back to politics... WTF does Trump no about any of the issues facing this country? All of his replies have been shallow and vague at best. I mean outside of his (dumb)immigration position I haven't heard him give a substantial or intelligent response to any questions about specific issues facing our country. Does he even know what he intends to do if elected? Enlighten me please.

You have the mistaken impression that his lack of attention to complicated things like policy solutions are negatives. To many of his supporters its just so simple:

What he intends to do if elected is" "make america great again"!
Giving substantial intelligent responses to questions about specific issues is something "inside the beltway insider political hacks" would do. Trump is a outsider who speaks his mind....the level of detail is generally along the lines of: "that's stupid. when I'm president i'll have the balls to take on the special interests"

    problem solved

people would really be surprised on how and where theyr tax dollars go.saudi Arabia,egypt...called foreign aid, paid for by us.i remember I think it was 2002 or 2003,they realesed something on the news ,they did a 17yr study on shrimp, that costs the tax payers over 100 billion dollars.shrimp!!!!!!also ur money goes to our enemies in the middle east, like supporting the freedumb fighters in Syria aka isis.

that's why when people bytch about their money going to Mexicans or people on welfare u people really have no clue.I wouldn't be a bit surprised of some of our tax dollars were used on 911.

for example, not taxes, but tolls in nj which is run by a private corp meaning ur toll money isn't fixing bridges and potholes.over a million people travel on the parkway alone every single day,now do $1.50 x a million, and that's just the parkway, the turnpike is much more expensive.theres plenty of money they just don't spend it right

He doesn't have any intelligent responses (see my note on tact). In fact, with the issues he has addressed, he has show to flip flop many times in the past. He really doesn't have a strong position on anything, other than immigration. And even on that topic, he doesn't have a logical plan. He plays to the uneducated extremists on the right, and he will say anything to get people worked up.

Trump's entire campaign is based on him saying outrageous things and that he is leading in the polls and people love him. Don't worry. No need for details. Things are gonna be great. Gonna be so great that your head will spin.

Barry, you have an interesting gift for ummm... let's call it "exaggeration".

You were never paddled by Jesuits and I'm starting to doubt you ever lived in PR based on most of your PR-specific comments here.

There is just one Jesuit high school in Puerto Rico and I happen to have graduated from it. There was zero paddling going on, the level of education was extremely high, extremely liberal, and completely lacking in scandal.

So, either your experience was somehow completely different than mine, or you're just making sh1t up.

Also, the Pope is a good guy. Your snide remark about "handing out chocolate bars behind the staging" is old hat and a lazy attempt at humor that falls flat. Could it be you're channeling a secret wish that some of those Jesuits "handed you some chocolate bars"? Or are you just slandering someone who doesn't agree with your reactionary politics?

I'm sure the original post was simply an attempt at trolling, but geez, I can't help it, I have no self control and have to respond:

Trump is a narcissistic megalomaniac that couldn't have achieved a thing were it not for his daddy's inheritance and a smart group of advisors.
Everything he is known for supports the theory:
    1) Multiple throw-away beauty queen wives
    2) Has to name everything "Trump"
    3) Have you seen the amount of gaudy fake gold (brass) inside Trump Tower?
    4) "The Apprentice"
    5) Running for President

Clearly, he's an attention who're and now that he's running for president he clearly craves power and has delusions of grandeur, but when you add in all the screaming, name calling and all around rudeness, I wonder if he is a sociopath as well.

You must have graduated from San Ignacio decades after me. When I was there, paddling was regular, especially if one skipped "jug".
If you are religious, why don't you just go fly an airline into a building somewhere. The Pope, your pope, is an idiot bordering on imbecility.

All may be true, but you will have to call him Mr. President soon, most likely. Hillary will be in jail soon.
But thank you for amateur psychoanalysis.
