Hey Fellow Surfers who use the SwellInfo iOS App,

Is it worth the $2.99 given it hasn't been updated in 3 years?

This is my first post here. I'm a newish surfer down in Atlantic Beach FL (enjoying the currents generated from Joaquin).

    Thanks!

I bought it so I didn't have to fumble through safari to check each spot. Otherwise, if I only wanted or needed to check one spot I would have bookmarked it like I did the OCcam. It works well but is as basic as it gets.

Does it make it easier to get on the forum? That could be trouble for some folks...

I've been wondering the same thing about the Android version. Does it have the forum?

i'm pretty sure there's a separate app for the forum. one of the mods made a thread about it a couple months ago

i bought it, hoping that SI would actually use some of that money and make the app better!! Bc it sucks. I want the hour by hour graph on it. I want to be able to look at different facing beaches for the same spot. So I paid, but I always use safari to look at the web version. Come on SI, at least try a little!

No forum and no hourly, that is for sure. Like I said, as basic as it gets. It's essentially the tab we see on the left hand side of the web version with the AM/PM reports. You can click on each day and see winds/tide/swell period/height in 3hour intervals but thats about it.

I use it along with the magic seaweed app and the weather channel app.. dont be sucha panzi and rely on technology. do some research, find out what works where, chase some swells, take a surf trip to an unknown spot with your friends.. thats what its all about

no its not worth it but its only 2.99 so you can easily forget about it in a few seconds after you buy it

Thanks for the feedback on this app folks. I was only interested because tapping around on my mobile when on the forecast page is wonky compared to when on a computer.
