I am going to Thailand for a couple of weeks, has anybody been there and have any recommendations on where to go fishing, surfing, snorkling, Etc... Any insight on this place would be cool, Thanks!
as far as surf, Thailand looks pretty shadowed, but I guess bigger swells could occasionally filter and wrap around the barrier islands into the phuket area and little north. East coast would need a typhoon swell specifically in the lower end of the south china sea and, even then, that season is getting near the end...your chances of winning the lottery are about as good.
I just got back from Taiwan so kinda in the same area. We scored some decent surf but just missed 3 typhoons in a row which sucked. I've been checking the surf report daily since we've been back and there seems to be some decent swell in the water so hopefully you'll score. That jet lag ain't gonna be no joke....trust me!
Girl friend is half Thai, I don't know if the surf is any good, but the food sure is. Her mom loves to cook for me
