im checking forecast and, historically, there should be waves. (locals are on the positive side about it too)
i dunno if there's gonna be the size you're looking for tho.

Waves will always be better in Nica than in the Jerz, ceppy. Bring bribe money for the Nica pigs who will stop you multiple times on the highway for imaginary road violations.

10 days and hundreds of Km's I never got stopped. Yes I do consider myself lucky but perhaps they've eased off a bit. Get a few 100 cord bills, have them hidden except for like 1 or 2 in your wallet. Tell them it's all you have and that way you only lose $5-10.

In the past, July has always been pretty nice to me. The short term forecast does look pretty good though. Heck maybe you'll get lucky. The El Nino weather pattern is supposed to be pretty strong this year. With that and some luck you could score.

If that is the only time you can go, just go. At least you'll be getting away from the BS for awhile. You said you might go in March. That could be hit or miss too (I guess any time is really). I have 2 different groups of friends that have both been skunked in April. If you go, make sure to come back and post your experience.
    Good luck either way!

wow who dug this thread up from the grave lol...yea I was originally going to go in august.then sept.then oct.now November, but I see this is the season the waves get small.they say offshore winds all yr round from the mountains.shyt I didn't even realize I updated my computer and my favorites got deleted so I have no clue where I'm going lol.it was the cheapest surf camp I could find, its like an hour west of Managua, cant think of the spot for shyt now.but they got a reef break right infront of the spot, with beachbreaks all over the place and short boat rides to those other spots.i think I'm going to hold off til February now.

You can always think up a reason not to do something.
