La Jolla was fun this morning. pretty consistent 4 footers. Deep high of 7' at 10:30 was slowing it down, but still fun.

I went to the casinos this past Sunday.

My casino is propped-up by an inlet. I can sort of see my spot from the casino garage, where I often contemplate jumping. Not because I'm suicidal, but I always wondered what it's like just jumping off a ledge. Splat.

People jump off of Atlantic City parking garages more than you'd think.

People go to Florida to retire and to score roxis, people go to Atlantic City to die....or to live under the boardwalk...and score dope. Shotty low-quality usually. Go to Camden, son.

"Under the boardwalk..down by the sea...."

Anyways, I needed a few bucks to get a lil' Mary Wanna, so I got a lift on the premise of hot gambling action. Yeah, I got the dinero I needed to call my shotty local boy. I was gambling off of a relative's "Free Play" - a device used to lure gamblers to the casino by giving them some "free money."

I need better connects around here. Hey, I left the "game" for almost five years, so it's like I'm starting over, sort of. Hello, anyone out there near me? Pricks. But in a testimony to my strong constitution, I went with the green instead of the tan. Wow, I'm super.

Anywayswho, I could have surfed, but I didn't. I thought aboot it, but I was, like, dude, it may be two foot at best. I didn't feel all that hot either, as I was aboot a week completely tan-free and wasn't 100 yet. Ah, just a little two-month excursion to paradise and hell all wrapped into one convenient powder. Think you got what it takes? Give it a try. Ha.

Ahh, these dudes on here, except for a few special individuals, cry aboot getting constipated from a 5 mg Perc.

Sassies !!! That's worse than the blacks sipping syrup in Oakland acting like they on some "strong stuff." Man, that's like popping few Tylenol 3's. You go to Paterson with Cepriano and he'll show you what's up.

Do you guys know what it is that I be saying?

Scobeyville !! What is up, man. When you returning back to Spring Lake. NJ misses you. We want you back. Oh you guys can run but NJ will find you.

    Really?

Yo, was these pics taken the day it cleaned-up after that 10 day NE blow?

My spot was garbage. Sandbars just decimated. And I only surf one spot because I'm cool....and can't drive anymore.

Other than that it's been garbage this fall. Garbage. At least in my world, which to be fair, probably does exist elsewhere.

Am I trippin or has this fall just plain sucked unless you live in Long Island or Cape May? Besides that one swell, that was NE for a week, what else has there been?

HAHA! I cleared 35K in college using my brothers, mothers & fathers free play! Tax Free

Little tip for cashing out your free play. Say you have $25 in free slot play.
    1.Find a video roulette machine
    2.Put 11 on red, 11 on black & 1 on zero
If black or red hit, you can cash out $22, if Zero hits, thats $35 in your pocket.

Back in 2009, while i was attending Stockton, I was getting $250/day from my brother & $75/each from Mom & dad. I was literally walking out the casino EVERY day with $394.

Wow, dude, your brother must have dropped a ton.

You were getting $250 a day in FREE PLAY?

Dude, I thought I milked the casino(Trump Marina now Golden Nugget) with my mommy, daddy and Aunt's FREE PLAY and comps.

I was only getting $300 a week during one three month period. Usually $20 $60 a few times per week.

But man, it was great. I'd go surf a spot just north, stoned of course. Then I'd just park in front of the casino(illegally) and go get a grilled cheese and french fries and a few beers. Back in the day they sent you a slip that you could just take to a cashier and they'd give you the cash. You didn't need ID for proof unless the slip was over $100. Then go get the cash. Maybe drop a few bucks back in. Jeez I used to have luck back then.

And then they were members of this club that you just presented daddy's card(we have the same name except for middle) and BOOM unlimited free drink a food. Just tip the waiter.

Yes, a mid-January weekday, drinking Heineken overlooking the Absecon Inlet all wacked.

Go surf OC in the dusk session and then hit Mak & Mancos for the kill pizza. Yeah Manco's kicks arse. So, save it, you "too coool for Mancos" people. Give me break the shot you rep ain't no Manco's and Manco's.

Scobey, what were you spending all that money on? I'm going to guess that your parents sprung for college costs. Man, you must have had tons of herb at Stockton, huh? I used to party with dudes from Stockton in the early 1990's on Cedar Bonnet Island - The SIG Shack....some fraternity dudes.

    Peace, Wayne and Heath !!

I watched my brother lose 17K in 3.5 hours.
The big money came from the Hilton (where I ended up working after ripping them off). They had a clueless lady running promotions and gave $250 FP a day for Nov & Dec - she now works in Biloxi. Amazingly stupid on their behalf, but I took full advantage of it. I eventually told my boss what I did. He was pissed but ended up laughing about it. He told me 4 video roulette machines paid out 4 million in those first two months - I must not have been the only one to figure this out.

I didnt spend much of it. I kicked back a bit to my brother each week & saved. That's how I funded the CA trip ;)

I now work at an ad agency managing multiple direct marketing campaigns for casinos throughout the country. Kinda funny

No pics of my solo spot... ever. Last paddled on Tuesday. More bombers, it was calm and glassy, which makes it feel more impactful. I didn't get as many waves, or as many good ones. Still caught a couple of barrels and got pretty stomped. A little smaller, I think. Higher tide. Chest to head high and glassy. Feels weird with the flood tide messing up the beach. Not mellow. Like storm surfing without the storm. Made me feel edgy out in the water.

Skipped Wednesday. Drove to a well-known nearby spot for a DP and got skunked today. Winds were hard sideshore and it just wasn't worth it. Will try again tomorrow. No pics there, either. I don't want my tires slashed.

Same here.....3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon. Morning was big/overhead, the afternoon was just perfection. Still shoulder - head on sets but just perfect fast barreling rights. Two of the waves I got this afternoon are BURNED into memory. One was a down the line backside grab rail barrel, the other had two complete backside roundhouse cutbacks off the whitewater lump. So stoked!

Late lunchbreak yesterday and the day before. On Wednesday, the wind finally shifted to SSW. The north peak at the zoo was empty except for one local and a clueless newbie. Shoulder high clean lefts. semi hollow towards the pier on the shortboard, with a random right wall. Lumpy and shifty cause the winds just went offshore a bit, but sometimes you can make order out of chaos. Lots of fast uncontested peaks.

Yesterday it was offhore and well groomed. The longboard was the ticket to long, long stomach to chest high peelers, weak but fast. The last nose ride I caught was more fun than the punchy lefts the day before. Life is good!

Finally got good enough to be worth paddling. Still warm, so just rashy for today's DP. CH-HH soft shoulders with the occasional little barrel section. Typical ******. Got a bunch early, then sucked for a bit, then got my wave of the day for a ride in. Nice left with a workable shoulder. Nice long session, and now I've got santa-anna surfing dry cracked fingers.
