Is this even the first time that wave has been shown on Surfline? It looks just like a reef that they showed in a "super-secret east coast slab" article a few years ago.
Was about to say the same thing Mitchell. If I recall is was off the coast of Maine, I remember even google earthing the reef to check it out. I mean looks cool for a photo, but probably about 2% chance of actually hitting it right on the conditions and snagging a decent one between the washouts.
That place and another got blown the fock up this fall on various forms of social media...there's been pics on SL not such a glorious feature tho...I'd never ride the place but is nothing sacred? Bub your boy Mack was blowing up another slab up north too...
The Ledges, slabs and horseshoe reefs start happening in Southern New England all the way up the coast to Nova Scotia to the Arctic Circle. It is all yours anytime you want it in any swell. Very slabby with potentially three different swell directions (east, south, southwest) all happening at the same time. And 15-20 mile an hour currents.
