It's Monday night. Not a normal time for drinking - at least for me. Downed a six-er of Coors tonight while watching a movie and decompressing after spending much of the day at the hospital's ER with my 86 year old Dad.
As I've said before, Dad passed onto me his love for the ocean, whether it was sailing/boating, fishing, or skin diving. Now he is wheelchair-bound and bedridden. Not the way I want to leave this world. But he nonetheless endures, as do several WWII vets at my Dad's nursing home.

I apologize if I'm providing a bad example for the younger guys. Life happens sometimes, and I'm human.

BTW, if there is a Trader Joe's nearby, check out their selection of beers and wines.

The mortality of one's parents is one helluva gut check. May your father (eventually) transition painlessly & knowing that he done good, DosXX.

Dos, been there w/my Dad, also a WW2 vet, so I can grasp aspects of what you are going through. He endured through much suffering until the end. That generation of men are special, and I appreciate them greatly as there was much to learn about sacrifice and persevering through challenges. Savor and hold fast to the good.

Kane head high is my beer at the local pub in town (Boyles) that sh!t smells and tastes like skunk weed. At the moment I'm kinda hopped out so I just have a sixxer of St. Pauli girl. The chick on the label is pretty hot to...ha.

Been 3 weeks since my run-in with alcohol poisoning via a visit to good ole UGA. Haven't touched the bottle since and for good reason. Anxiety every day, shakes, and could barley eat for a week. But tonight...f it?
