My employees who are over age 50 get their rates jacked UP by this bamster sham 'care' program.

The politicians are ruining a once-great nation.

Our family rates are up as well. All this to provide healthcare to a bunch of deadbeats with a few truly needy people thrown in. Not to mention another government beurocracy that will grow out of it and consume the majority of the money. Leave the money in my pocket and i will disperse it to charity as i see fit.

poor people who dont take care of themselves benefit, arent you stoked you can share the health care burden?

I mean since you take care of yourself and have more money, you should pay more in premiums to take care of others who cant afford to mend their bodies from smoking, eating McCrap, and being sedentary

in essence, you pay for their poor life choices, since they cant afford too!

    socialism sure is grand!

I wouldn't have minded losing my Cadillac insurance after 30 years, or having to pay 30% more now with bigger deductibles, in order to cover the poor and working poor. But the heck of it is that my poor friends with the low cost insurance cannot afford to use it because they cannot afford the 5K deductibles and the high copays.

Eventually USA will be on a single payer system like Canada, probably. Or like Medicare....

I totally agree, specially with MIS point.

Seems we are all paying for other ppl who can't afford it- and (i don't mean to be cold or judgmental) it has been my experience that many of the poor ppl do not care that they are poor, are fine living off the gov- as long as they don't have to work- and to top it off they don't care for themselves, eat terrible food and usually smoke and drink.

That being said- it seems that we as a country are just enabling these ppl to continue not to work.

Anyways- my rates have gone up as well- just with my company health care- and the plans are just getting worse and worse with higher and higher deductibles. so now if I truly injury myself I really have to question if it's worth it to go to the hospital for stitches or what ever- since the cost will actually be a thousand or so...

Any ways- I am thankful that swellinfo now offered medical advise as well as surf prediction

I was able to keep my health plan as an annuitant when I retired, but I checked on Obamacare to make sure I was getting the most for my dollar.

What I found out was I would've been spending more on O'care, with higher deductibles and less coverage. It just didn't make sense, so I stuck with my existing plan.

Really, this thing was designed for professional stay-at-home slugs. The only benefit is that all insurance carriers are now mandated to cover "children" up to the age of 26. I have a 21-year old kid who otherwise would not be able to afford any coverage whatsoever.

I think we would've been better off by only adjusting Medicare or Medicaid for the poor, and just leaving everybody else alone...but it would've meant more taxes anyways.

Obama promised that family health insurance premiums would go down $2,500 per year under Obamacare.
I'm still waiting as is the rest of the country.

Instead of $15 an hour for MCD employees lets have that extra $7 sent to fund obamacare....that could help cover the McFat*sses

    Exactly.

I think the thing that most people are upset about is the fact that Obama lied out his a$$, or didn't have a clue what he was signing off on. And to top it off, his administration blew right through it without really knowing what was exactly in it. It's not like the people had a choice to vote on it. Pretty surreptitious.
