just had some blackberry and watched the Volcom Cloudbreak video. link included.
i've never seen what cloudbreak looks like before, it looks f@cking beautiful.
decided to compare it for some reason, maybe cuz I'm a goofy and i really like lefts and looking at green walls.
    anyway.

who do you think takes the big left award?
support your ideas, preferably in full sentences.

    So this is cloudbreak, right?

At 4:00 id be shyting myself paddling out...

Looks heavier than typical footage I've seen at Chope's...?

I'm goofy too...have put a lot of work into working the backside the past 6 months or so and I've found it helps the goofy frontside when gettin a left, no? Awareness on a wave just seems better frontside after working backside consistently.

Anyway - this footage, if possible, looks like point break 2 trailer ---- wayyyy heavier, brah!

What's different about them? To the third hand eye, this one does seem to peel faster and have more of a crispier, thinner barrel.

    dude do tell! seriously

does cloudbreak seem longer and faster, or is it just weed? and yes, front side feels safer so... there's how confidence affects ability, i think, on some subconscious level.

You can make some comparisons between Cloudbreak and Teauhpoo when you look at this video
But this video is freakishly huge Cloudbreak. Definitely not normal everyday Cloudbreak
On average Teahupoo is a much heavier wave. And when it gets really big like Code Red big there is no comparison to any wave in the world

I noticed one thing right off the bat: if you *ever* attempted to ride that high of a line in the tube at Chopes, you would get unmercifully chewed up and thrown onto the flats by a 6 foot thick lip.

Look at some Teahupoo vids...everybody invariably sets up at the bottom, then negotiates the horse shoe bowl as it bends towards the channel. Anybody caught lurking at the top gets tossed hard.

Everybody says big Cloudbreak is not to be fvcked with...but everybody agrees that Chopes is probably the most dangerous wave in the world.

I've always considered big a$$ slabs like Shipstern's, Ours, Dungeons etc. to be on par with Teahupoo, personally.

idk man 3 miles of beach, 1000+ plus frothing uncw students that just started surfing last year and want to practice there "airs" on knee high chop crammed into it. Not to metion all the privileged blonde haired trust funders, who apparently never had a real job and only have time to scout crappy surf, driving around there big pavement princess lifted Chevy-whatevers mouthing off and snaking all the good waves.
