So sad. Those cats should have known better than to be traveling at night in that area.
    Shame.

I guess those bumper stickers from K38 surf shop are BS
    "CARTEL DOESN'T KILL SURFERS"
    "CARTEL DOESN'T KILL HOT CHICKS"

Liam hates Mexicans. And probably OTM's as well. So take him anywhere in Central or South America. He's from the worst place in New Jersey so he's tuff.

    Where, Newark...Camden you may ax.

Nope, Keansberg or Keansburg. It's some kind of berg or burg.

It's amazing how many people I tell about the dangers of surfing and traveling in Mex, and they just blow me off like I don't know what I'm talking about. "That will never happen to me", they say. "I've got it wired" or "I play it totally cool" they say.

I've been going to Mexico for over 50 years...I used to get 50 cent razor cuts from Mex barbers when I was 2. And guess what, guys?

Mex has ALWAYS been dangerous. Unfortunately, due to Cartel activity and an increased U.S. Border presence, those dangers have grown exponentially. It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 88. If they want to screw with you, they will. And they do.

The sad truth, as Scobeyville pointed out, is that Mexicans really feel that way about Cartels. They think that the Cartels are actually their friends, because they give the poor people money, they frequently improve local infrastructure, they give the Mexican government migraines, and above all: they love that the Cartel is sticking it to the Gringos.

It's a shame. I love Mex, but the place has been a cesspool of crime and corruption since before Cortes landed. It's ingrained in their psyche, and it will always be their way of life.

What a shame..we take in their illegals, feed them, house them, get free health care.
We are made to feel bad if we don't welcome them with open arms, called racists, etc.
Then we ask just to go surfing in their country and get killed in return.
These poor guys, just trying to enjoy life.
    BUILD THE WALL

I'm sure the cartel dudes that killed them were thinking about American politics when they killed them.

If they were Mexican we wouldn't even know about this.

Why were they driving at night, in such a sketch part of Mexico?

They already have a bunch of tunnels. Seems like a new one is found at least once a month in SD.

You're right, probably not thinking about American politics.

What do you believe that they were thinking about?

That I don't know Kidde Rocque...I read some speculative stuff from our west coast counterparts on the erbb but that's all hearsay...maybe just hubris? Thinking they could reason their way out of any jam?

Maybe they just wanted to teach some gringos a lesson, in a place where life does not get treated with the same value that it does elsewhere.

wish I could've went to Baja with you tho back in the day.

Maybe we should have "Kill-a-Mex" day.
Build the wall, and as they approach everyone must use a 30-.06 rifle for target practice??
Sounds like a reasonable democrat thing to do??

Its hard to say. If the cartels have any heavy weapons they should have the edge.

I would like to see how they stack up pound for pound. Like how many grunts, how many tanks etc.

Just watched a few VICE docs about isis where they have a journalist embedded with them. They seem pretty well armed, but that's a whole other thread ha.

I wonder though, how do they feel about each other?
