There's something seriously fu(ked in this country...I don't know why/how/etc...but I mean, come on, it's just so commonplace now.

It's a Social Revolution, and both sides are fighting it out right now...very reminiscent of the late 60's to mid 70's. This is what happens when law and order are challenged

I don't get all the Mexican racism on here lol.first off,il put it like this,we tell them to go back to where they came from, all they have to do is head a few miles south.they tell us to go back to where we came from, then we're heading on planes back to Britain, france, germany, holland, ireland, italy, etc.we are all immigrants,u motherfukas I'm American godamit!!.

theres just bad apples in every race.i had plenty of little Mexican friends when I was young, they didn't behead anyone or sell drugs.i had muslim friends as a kid, they didn't go around preaching islam how wayne preaches Christianity, and also they didn't go blow shyt up.u know more people died this year in nj by random shootings in ghettos than how many people died from terrorism in the us in the past 12 years.

When you all say "mexicans" is it just a generalization of all central americans?

I work w A LOT of spanish dudes and nearly all are from central America. I MIGHT know just 10 mexicans and close 200 CAs.

For what its worth i agree w cep. Not only do i work w spanish i work w irish polish italian plus jewish arab and who the f knows what else. Ive met good and bad in all! Is it really that hard to see . is it?

Having worked in public office and issued section 8 vouchers and public housing, I can assure you the myth of showing up and "getting a free lunch" is near impossible. The paperwork bureaucracy involved in getting funding is very difficult. Now culturally we have created a generation and a half of home grown apathy that knows how to get that signed off on before they graduate high school, but public assistance and immigrants are not the culprit.

Go home and fight for a better country. Colonialism is a touchy subject. Where is "home" and why should anyone embrace the sentiment. Nationalism is not as imbedded elsewhere, outside of putting on a soccer uniform. Spaniards came and raped their ancestors, and, as the book goes, central american, most south american, and mexican borders were forged in blood and fire. They've been getting the short end of the stick since the inception of their "country", and as is standard issue history the poor have carried the load of the weight at the barrel of a gun. So hundreds of years of turmoil doesn't create civic pride. FLEEING A ****EHOLE COUNTRY FOR A BETTER LIFE IS THE AMERICAN WAY, AND JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE BROWN DOESNT MEAN THEY ARENT EMBODYING THE AMERICAN SPIRIT IN ITS PUREST FORM.

What a coincidence...I've worked in Section 8 too. Have you done this on the Southern border? Can't begin to tell you how many investigations led to illegals residing in Section 8 housing. Documents are a lot easier to come by than you may think.

Another coincidence...so have American borders. What exactly is your point?

Should we take this to mean that if the U.S. was a $hithole, you would enter another country illegally and possible purchase counterfeit immigration documents so that you could "have a better life"? Is this what you're saying?

And when you say (yell) that they are "...EMBODYING THE AMERICAN SPIRIT IN ITS PUREST FORM", are you saying that all Americans that emigrated from other countries entered illegally? Because the root problem is not immigration, which seems to be a sticking point for so many wannabe Altruists. Americans *welcome* LEGAL immigrants, and want no more ILLEGAL immigrants. There is a huge difference there, people. This is a note worth delineating.

And, as far as both immigrants, both illegal and legal...it doesn't matter to real Americans what color they are...as long as they are LEGAL. If the estimated 11 million illegal aliens in this country were Norwegian, people would still feel the same way whether you want to believe it or not. It just so happens that the clear majority of illegals in this country happen to be Mexican, with other Central American nations far behind. But, for the pseudo-philanthropists, it seems to be important to use words like "brown" and "fear" to create some fake xenophobic situation. It's really not all that deep. It has *everything* to do with being in the country illegally and taking advantage of American laws and American taxpayers.

The biggest issue that altruistic philanthropists seem to forget or ignore is: Illegal immigration is a direct slap in the face to the same people who did it LEGALLY. Wouldn't it seem illogical to go through the legal process if our country just allowed everybody to bypass our laws? If you don't know the answer to that question, go ask a Lawful Permanent Resident...or better yet, a Naturalized Citizen.

It would be great if the country could vote on who would like to continue footing the bill for these people. That way, all the Altruists could pay for them to stay in their cities and homes, while the others who choose to not pay would no longer have anything to complain about.

    Would *you* continue to pay?

You figure surfers would get this. Nobody likes getting "dropped in" on. And non-surfers alike do not like when someone "butts in line". I think everyone appreciates the pursuit of the American dream. However, for good reason, we have laws and a process for this. This is a key issue. Thanks KR for highlighting this.

KR has some good points. Illegal immigration does create a host of problems. I personally don't know what the process for immigration to the US is like. I will have to do some homework.

Please kill yourself and your family if they are illegal. I'm talking ILLEGAL here, legal immigrants are fine ILLEGAL immigrants from anywhere are a problem and drain many public resources. You worked in public office. Where? Have you seen the stats generated for ILLEGALS on government subsidies that they can collect on behalf of their illegal babies? Get your head out of your ass. They aren't citizens. They have no right to these subsidies that I pay for.

Even the stats on illegals commiting violent crimes is off the charts. The funny thing is that people look at the total number of violent crimes by illegals but don't look at the percentage of illegals that commit these crimes. When 30-40% of illegals commit crimes compared to only 8% of US citizens, I think that spells something is wrong here.

They are a drain on our financial system and are killing the economy. Most pay isn't even taxed and it's sent back to Mexico.

We should propose that anyone for illegals or amnesty can have extra money taken from their paycheck and citizens against illegals pay less in tax. That is a fair deal and people for illegals shouldn't have a problem with it. The problem is that people who favor a path to citizenship or are against deportation are usually the ones who have these illegals as employees, the benefit from the ILLEGALS, or they don't pay taxes and aren't paying for this mess. Which are you?
