Every christmas, I would paddled out with a Santa Hat on in OB. I would create a little shoestring leash for it and hook it to the top of my back zip... Maybe you can do the same with your earplugs =) Use a little fishing line and hook em up.[/QUOTE]

Doc's Pro comes with leash just like that. Keeps from losing them in summer, hood keeps em in for winter.
    And less than $60.

    So, to resurrect this thread...
I sprang for a pair of sorkys last year, and loved them. However, my two year old helped them disappear from my truck this summer, and I haven't seen them since. Needing a replacement pair for this winter, and knowing they're 40 bones, I figured I'd check amazon to see if I can get them cheaper (which was a total fail as the cheapest set of sorkys was $90). However, they did have surfears for 12.99. Well fvck a duck, I went ahead and ordered a pair (with free 2 day shipping, why not). I wanted to know what y'all think of them, now that some of you have had them for a while. I'm much less concerned about letting in sound -the sorkys weren't all that great in that respect, than I am keeping water out and staying in my ear. That last part is the critical one. Have y'all had many issues with them falling out?

The ones on Amazon look like a knock-off of the ones these guys were talking about. I went to the original website and they were selling for 40 EUR. Can't imagine the price from a third-party seller would be that much lower.

However, I'm curious how those ones work for you. I've been starting to get more worried about surfers ear so when you resurrected this thread I went ahead and bought a pair off the website. If yours work fine then I'm gonna be pretty bummed about shelling out an extra $40.

Ive had these for a few months, havnt really used them much. Seem to be pretty good and I can still here some what. They stay on a lot better then you would expect. I will use them much more when the water gets colder.

I'll definitely let yall know how they work. My doctor told me a couple years ago that I was developing surfers ear and that I needed to start wearing earplugs. Decided that ignoring him was, as Barry so tacitly states, acting like a moron, and so I started the search for a good product. Docs pro plugs were uncomfortable. I had two different sizes and they always felt like they were on the verge of falling out, which they finally did this fall. The sorkys were awsome. They fit in your ear canal, so there's no worry about them coming out, even in really bad Wipeouts. The only downside is that they're damn near 50 dorra when you add shipping. If these knockoffs work, I'll be stoked!

I already have a pair that does that they are 14 bucks and made by jbs I can talk to people and it stops water. However it won't prevent surfers ear completely
