The rest of society would disagree with you.
Do you really believe you are to be the final arbiter for that??
    They are normally called "judges".

    yup,exactly.

But hey, I'm fair...if I've truly taken anything you've said out of context, then please tell us all exactly what you meant, and I will retract my statement. But it's there in black and white for the entire world to see. Your intent appears rather blatant and obvious. Just sayin'.

Personally, I can understand why you'd want to backtrack from your earlier cavalier statement. If I admitted to the world that I hire illegals on the reg, I'd be working like a cat burying $hit in the sand trying to cover my tracks lol.

Oh, cool...you found a way to use word play for humorous effect, and attempt to take a passive/aggressive poke at me at the same time.

How very witty and ignorant of you. I guess you actually have another talent other than hiring illegals and contemplating your navel.

    You're a funny guy!!!

Can we assume that's a self portrait?

No offense taken, KR - - you always post high quality stuff.

I take people one at a time, I suppose. Case in point, one of my employees from El Salvador. He came aboard in the mid 1990's. One of my first hires. Honestly, probably illegal; I was new to the hiring thing & probably missed the obvious. All I knew was the guy worked harder than anyone I'd ever met.

He had two words in English: 'no' and 'yes.' So, I sent him to night classes to learn English. Even hired a private tutor, a language major in college, to help him along.

Come to find out, my employee had been pulled from school in the third grade by his father to work the fields. So not only did I have a functionally illiterate employee, he was functionally illiterate in both his native language & English.

But, the guy was such a worker.

Turns out he left Salvador cause his older brother was blown up by the rebels. Threw a bomb into his shack. My employee took off for Los Angeles. Coyote took him over the border from Mexico. And took every dime the guy had. He worked construction around LA - - was common for him, and others, to put in a full day's work & then get run off at the end of the day without getting paid by the American bosses. But he said that's ok, someday he would make it, he always believed that.

He traveled east. Ended up here working for me. So, the green card lottery comes along for Salvadorans displaced by the war. He hits the jackpot. Gets his green card.

Meanwhile he's working, working, working. Buys a house. Brings his wife & son up. Working, working, working. Guy never calls in sick in the first 6 years. Literally. Never calls in sick. Is never late. Never. Drives a beater pickup. His idea of a good weekend is working on his house & making improvements.

He applies for citizenship. I sponsor him. Costs him lots of money in lawyer fees. Takes years to get approved. He makes it. Tells me it's the best day in his entire life. Beaming for weeks.

Working, working, working. This is the guy we all want for a neighbor.

Buys another house. Has a nice 401k. Has his health. A pleasant & professional man to be around. Been my employee for 19 years now & I hope he retires before I do. One of the finest Americans I've ever met.

I take people one at a time.

lol very good point.i guess we are referring to Mexicans and not all Spanish people.put it this way,i work with a young Puerto rican ginger, kid looks white as hell like an Irishman, but hes Puerto rican lol.anyway he is 21yrs old and can speak English, spanish, portugese, and german.lol fukin german!!!!!and that's from a middleschool class.these people are pretty intelligent, its crazy when I see some people that can speak 5 languages fluently and americans cant even learn to speak Spanish which is the easiest language to learn.

also my Russian friends, they can speak English, russian, polish, ukranian, bulgarian, and whatever other Russian like countries over there.americans are the dumbest when it comes to learning languages...

but I have to agree with liam for once lol,u should be able to speak English if u want to live here

also id like to add to the original title of this thread "bung hole of the world"

lol mexico is a very very very big place.yea its super super super dangerous in certain parts, mainly the border towns, but if its such a shyt hole why are so many americans moving there?prime example, brian conley and will Dillon,2 big wave surfers, brian used to be the **** in the early 2000s before heading south.will Dillon was just another eastcoast dude from nc that went to Puerto and never came back.reasons why I wont move to mexico lol,i don't like Mexican girls.other than that id move in a heartbeat

Yeah the "bung hole" insult was more an expression of frustration with the consistent and senseless violence in Mexico rather than a condemnation of the people/ culture/ country itself. Mex has such sick waves I'd love to go...and then I read yet another article like the one cited.

Yankee, that is exactly the $hit that I'm talking about, what a great success story.

My ex-wife was born in Guadalajara...what the locals call a "tapatia"...basically a very Euro looking Mexican girl. A naturalized US citizen. Oh god, that girl was gorgeous. She was my Ace card whenever I traveled in Mex. She did pretty well for herself doing modeling work...no hard feelings during the divorce.

Another one of my lifelong buddies came here as a child and was forced to be an itinerant picker and forsake school. At 18 he got his GED, then later a degree. Makes 6 figs and is the type of friend and neighbor that everyone wants. He's a hell of a lot smarter than some of the Yay-hoo's on this here Boarde...and to top it off, works with US Immigration to boot.

We constantly laugh about the very same misgivings that several people here seem to share.

    Who would've thunk it?

I read somewhere that the old CIA or their predecessor, the OSS, used to have this intense 'graduation day' program.

After all the spook & stealth training, the candidate had to get through one final ordeal.

The agency would drop the candidate in a foreign country, with just the clothes on his back. No ID, no money, no watch, nada. The goal was simple: survive one week & be back at the prescribed pickup location at a specified time/date. The only rule? The candidate couldn't commit a crime to survive.

    Yah.

The Navy used to do the same with their aviators back in the '60s. But not in a foreign country, rather, The Everglades. They were given a knife, string, a few matches. My brother survived that "top gun" training, then ended up disappearing in his F-4 Phantom off of the US Midway. I suspect he is towing people in at Tchopoo with the plane........

Im a little perplexed here KR. Its ok because it was a success story? Yank have you ever hired anymore that may have snuck over the boarder? Or has/had a fake ss#?
Heres what i witness at my workplace.
I have Many customers who all come in and run their mouths off about all thats wrong with the country right now regarding immigration.. Most vote purely on the republican party line. Seems a little hypocritical to me. Idk im kinda digging hannas honesty. Id also be willing to pay 8% more in taxes. If its to help people. Hell ive taken bigger hits helpin some rich guys i dont know.
How about this we protect our borders by expanding our boarders. F it lets just take over Mexico.
Sorry bros I have no answer to the immigration problem or any problem for that matter. I just try to be a good person and get through life as best i can.

5446 100% of the customers I have that say we should build a wall or shoot the people coming over are the same people who make sure to tell me how Christian they are. They are the same folks who say we should carpet bomb the middle east and then say our country needs to return to Jesus. Ironic.

I do believe illegal immigration poses problems for US citizens and the immigrants themselves. I like the idea of work visas for those who come to make money and return home. That way they could pay taxes on their income. However, not sure how to enforce the laws. Lets face it both sides take advantage of the broken system we have now for personal gain.

in reality we need illegal aliens here in America to do the jobs nobody else wants.they banned the illegals in some Midwest state, dont recall which one,but then they tried to hire people to pick the vegetables ...couldn't do it.they got inmates to pick the vegtables ,still couldn't do it.crops started going bad because they couldn't be picked fast enough.so they let the illegals back in.....lol true story

and there it is, the news media and politicians have been leading the public to that solution ever since 911, central america presents a much smaller border to control.

poor f-n mexicans think they have it bad now, wait till they have to pay taxes like the rest of us.
