To put things in perspective, the VC (Viet Cong) won the war, defeated the US and our allies in Vietnam. Now Vietnam is trying to become capitalist and more of an open society after realizing the rest of the world is leaving them behind.

Unfortunately, our culture of instant gratification makes us impatient for instant victory over the extremist thugs. Hearts and minds must be won over. Many, many Muslims, the overwhelming vast majority of them (I hope)...bonafide US citizens... want a better life for themselves and their children. A piece of the American Pie is the best way to
bring them into the fold of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness promised by our founding fathers ( geniuses).

To declare war on them without due process is fascism and stupid. Bad form. What you hate you become. Don't buy into the propaganda. Just keep a very close eye on the immigrants from all origins. And a close tab on any Mullahs that espouse hatred. But the average Mo', if he is a law abiding freedom loving US citizen, he deserves the protection of his rights granted by our constitution.

So just because Muslims are here we should let more in?? Just cause theres 12 million illegal immigrants we should not protect our borders? . . .Yea lets just wait till theres 50 million illegals and muslims have wiped out every other religion(kill everyone thats not muslim) Not speeding fear or hate , thats what they believe they are barbaric people.“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.”- Winston Churchill.. . .lets hear it PC police

Trump can't win. It may look that way, but he most definitely will not win.

you see trump for what he is and that is reassuring

that you don't see all politicians the same is disturbing.

    It's a damn good point,and historically accurate.

A democratic society is tough work and requires vigilance and strength. I don't know the answer. We have to vet everyone, EVERYONE, who comes in this country, and keep a close eye on those who slipped through the cracks. But we can't start persecuting innocent families. We give up our identity and they win.

I see trump as an independent , he's not a politician he's a leader who is looking out for the Christian Jewish America and not willing to see it crumble to Muslim radicalism. And he wants to protect the borders which is phenomenal. Please build the wall.

Trump is the least disturbing leader figure by far. Besides we can not let Bernie near that Oval Office. America needs free markets always.

Trump will show you don't worry he's a Trojan horse to reality.

Yep, scum, all of them. All we're voting for is who gets to get on their knees and blow. At least he's seriously f'ing up the GOP. Now if we could just get a clown to f up the Dems.

Until we 1) outlaw lobbying and 2) get rid of both parties and start over nothing will change.

I vote we throw 'em all in a pit full of crocs.

First of all, you are wrong about there being no vetting process.

There is a process, but it isn't perfect. You will never be able to keep all the bad people out, any more than you will be able to stop the bad people already here.

Second, how do you feel (in a moral sense) about the deaths that will be caused by Trump's latest antivax comments, and the comments he has been making since 2009? This, in my opinion, is a bigger deal than ISIS. Infectious disease kills more Americans than any terrorist, Christian or Muslim. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/adults/vpd.html
Scaring parents away from vaccinating their children should be an automatic disqualification for any presidential candidate.

Hahahaha, yeah, a real leader. He has only flip flopped more times than any politician in the last 6 years. He started out with very liberal views, but decided he could find more suckers on the extreme right. FYI, there is no Christian/Jewish America. America has always been a melting pot of all races and religions, and that will continue. Trump is nothing more than a distraction from the real problems facing the nation. Don't let him fool you.

Brew, thanks for clarification. I was only echoing the sentiment / concerns of those who want to take pause. I didn't mean to state there was no process, but that it appears problematic , and there seems to be issues with identification, etc., that need to be figured out. And as you say, they may not get this %100 correct.

As far as the vaccination comments, I would agree that they were reckless, unscientific, and based on sketchy anecdotal "evidence", that, as you say, could influence people to not immunize children for diseases and lead to tragic consequences.

BTW, I am not in support of trump. I was only pointing out that he raises issues that are on the minds of many, although his solutions are not well thought out and tend to offend.
