:confused:I am going to Costa, just wondering if my 2/1 jacket/top will be too thick for the 80 degree water. Or should i just bring rashguard/surf shirts with me? Just trying to get someones advice because I am going to be at some reef breaks and want a little more protection just in case I eat it! But I also dont want to be sweatin balls. Much appreciated for help:eek:

Leave the rubber at home. How much would 2/1 mil of neoprene really help if you hit a reef anyways. It will do more harm than good. If you're worried about hitting the reef, you might not want to surf it in the first place.

Was I a douche bag for asking a question? because I sure got a douche bag response back. StuckinVa, I will be sure to get some barrels in my 2mm for you while you surf your 2 foot slop back home. Wearing something protective can be the difference between me taking skin off or not. Sounds like you don't understand, you must be to use to your beach break.

kenny...i always take top just in case. also, if you are going up north, a top can help in the morning the papagayos winds can be kinda chilly in the early mornings.
