    last year...

last year, I recall a few large good days in july, then it started getting more consistent in august, and the end of august/ and september in total, was best surf ever.

    we just need the canes...

i say we should all have a board sacrafice by burning one of our boards. It normally seems to give us waves during a flat spell.

swim, or paddle when the wind calms at dawn or dusk. that gets me through flat spells. if you've got some money nows one of the two times to travel.

also in the summer I've learned that you can find a ride able wave alot more if you really pay attention to the swells, and particularly the tides, since the beaches get a bit uncooperative. just learn where you are.
