Just venting frustration Towelie. This El Nino summer is taking it's toll on good cyclone action. I'm happy about most things as well and the older I get the more therapy I need and good surf is the answer to that so you can understand that the therapy seshes in SC have been few and far between this summer. The law of averages will soon apply so I am optimistic for a shredding near term future !!!

With the new low that's offshoure in the Atlantic, plus Sir Daniel, plus the two consecutive trop waves coming off W. Africa, summer stoke could be a reality

"I don't like that cone of anxiety. One jog to the north and it could miss the islands and head to S. Florida. Guess it's time to find all the hurricane shutters"

Indeed. It jogged to the north, as predicted right here at SI. Let's see if the strength stays low as it makes its way through the carribean.

pretty amazing what some dry air and shear can do to what was a Cat 3 hurricane two days ago.

Naw, no need to. Storms this time of year "normally" go into the gulf

Crom laughs at Danny's four winds. He did not know the Riddle of Steel and was cast from Valhallalla.

No doubt. However, I was looking on the NOAA database the other day and pulling up some historical cane swells. Looks like they most often peak down there in the Carribbean and cool off along the US coast even if they bless us with epic swell or unfortunately hit land and cause destruction.

This one's not like those others. Sweet Erika could be. She's bigger than Danny was.

If this storm were closer to the US it would already have been named.
