Conditions looked purty schweet in OC Md today although a bit close-outish (too much E in swell perhaps). The SwellInfo genius center says flat for a bit...but then this weekend...

I have it on good clown-worthy authority that activity in the Atlantic is due to continue.

Fingers crossed for the coming weeks.

What's your break gonna do this week/ weekend, gimmie your best guess, are you expecting: It'll crap out? Pitch top-to-bottom barrels? Offer up Mavericks/Belmar sized monsters? Side-shore dumpy nonsense? 2 hour cleanup that you'll miss, because, of course you will?

This ain't no hype train, just a brain drain, to make you feel sane at work meng.

Wish I had more time off. The gulf (which isn't my home break by any means but is doable and fun) has been getting plenty of swell lately. El Nino forecast data on surfline was right on the money.

In summation nobody was out or aboot

I think it's officially time to break out the 5/3 though

Glad to hear the gulf crew has been getting some action Flurida. And its impressive the forcast's have panned out. I understand the gulf has mini-windows of good conditions that are hard to pin down ahead of time. Tell that boss of yours to cut ya loose for some of them waves!

Yep, don't even care if it gets a little smaller or bigger, just want it green and clean. And JawnDoeski, I noticed most of the predictin sites were under-calling certain breaks in the Delmarva region a couple times this fall. Or maybe I just happened upon some good sand bars. And yeah, I'm really not looking forward to the 5/3...

Just had a five day run of head to OH north swell with offshores. Clean glassy peaks and some makeable tubers.

We may get a rare head high south swell this Friday due to a slow moving/stalling cold front. Underneath the front, it is supposed suck up out of the south and build. I know a couple spots that will go off, especially at incoming high tide. There will be a two hour clean up window when the wind switches offshore ( watch out for waterspouts). I will be on it, or asleep in bed, depending on the timing.

Rest of this week longboardable and semi clean (hopefully).

the bouy up here peaked at 14 feet at 12 seconds at 2am yesterday morning. I drove north to a spot i thought could hold it, and they shut down all 4 lanes of 95 cause some dumb prick got in an accident. FINALLY I made it to my spot, a regional right point break. Noone was out. Just me and my homie watched one dude struggle through the rock mine field to make it to the outside. Probably 8-10 feet but gnarly with alot of water moving around and currents sweeping you down the beach. Took out the fish because my knee still wasn't 100% but ended up surfing for 6+ hours with a break to smoke in between. Not the biggest swell i caught around here, but definitely up there and I had some of the fastest rides Ive had at that spot, from the main take off zone all the way around to corner halfway to another decent break in a residential neighborhood. Glad the knee can surf some bigger stuff now, almost ready for Puerto and Hawaii next month. Been a fun run of swell for New england for those who know where to look. Alot of people just showed up and looked yesterday and left tails between the legs, its funny to see when some size thins the heard. Big muscley dudes with their MMA gym sweatshirts and their Dodge Rams were peacing out without getting their hairwet, quiver of high end boards in the back. But me, a scrawny little dude with a scraggly beard and a kooky knee brace was charging on a retrofish in their place.

Hey sisurfdogg, to a westcoaster 5 days of head+ and glassy is just another week of normalcy, but as you know for the EC thats as good as it gets. Cheers for your luck.

I speak the truth Mr. Belmar.

And tre gets a level up for badassness:
My upcoming forecast is still looking fun. If I'm lucky I'll be looking at chest with an afternoon cleanup, followed by a knee-waist longboard day (which will hopefully let me test the ding repairs I did on my log).

Keep em coming guys and gals. Let the stoke flow through you like a case of typhoid fever.

That's what I'm talking about. It peaked out Sat/Sun here but not that big. No point break action though....lots of water moving around...a few feet over head and rolling in. I almost did not make it out a couple of times in my first sesh after a couple of waves b/c of the gnarly rip. Second sesh was better with more water filling in. But Trev, that sounds almost like a surf trip dude...definitely good prep for HI. You going summertime south shore style?
